yall are pretty good at suggesting place to find particular items..

im looking for the types of bells that you commonly see on belly dancer outfits and jewelry... if seen them referred to both as clapper bells and clapperless bells..

trying to find them in a silver color but not actually silver(tis out of my price range)

looking for the split kind like this

and before you say firemountaingems, the only silver colored ones they have are actual silver...

wanting an actual web store instead of ebay so i know i can do repeat buying when i need it..

With R2-D2 mailboxes popping up across America, thanks to the U.S Postal Service and Lucasfilm, fans can celebrate 30 years of Star Wars and mail letters at the same time.

But if you can't find a R2-D2 mailbox near you, make this cool papercraft 3-D model of the mailbox for your action figures! Just print out this handy PDF on sturdy paperstock and follow the directions to make your very own mini R2-D2 mailbox.

I have a question for you painterly types. I do oil painting and murals, and I was asked to do a halo mural for a computer store in town. Seen here, and here.

The funny thing was, they weren't really expecting much of a painting evidently. When they saw the finished mural, they were all very impressed. Now they would like several more murals done, which is great, but they want them done in some way to make them portable, so that when the store expands and they need a bigger building, they can take the paintings with them. Now, I'm all for someone wanting to preserve my work, but the murals a really big, and I can't buy canvases that large. I could make them, but they'd be terribly heavy and they'd stick out of the wall quite a bit, and quite frankly, the idea of canvases around a room full of 13-18 year old boys playing video games just doesn't seem great to me. Don't get me wrong, they're good kids, but they can get rowdy sometimes. So we want to find some way to make them flush, or close to flush to the wall. But I can't find canvas board that big, and piecing it together would look somewhat odd. And then there's cost. Do any of you lovely crafty people have any ideas? I thought about wallpapering canvas to the wall and then painting, but after we took it down, I'm not sure it would go back up again...

I didn't see anything about this in the memories, so I apologize if this is a repeat.

I'm trying to make a collage of these club flyers I collected while I studied abroad last year. they're mostly glossy cardstock, about postcard size, and I want to use a canvas as my base.

unfortunately, I'm having trouble getting them to stick. I tried mod podge on one canvas, and it definitely wasn't strong enough, so I switched to some sort of polyurethane stuff I got in the hardware section of Wal-Mart, next to the wood stain. it works okay, but it leaves these weird bubbles, and it takes a lot to get them to stick. does anyone have any other suggestions?

thanks!

hiv/aids buttons

I designed these buttons for my local AIDS walk (http://www.douglascountyaidsproject.org/). They are 1" pin back buttons, with a black or white background. I'm donating 10% of the sales from these buttons to the National Aids Fund (http://www.aidsfund.org). "A National Catalyst for Local Action".

Here are some other new buttons I've made. )
