Questions about making your own envelopes

I have a lot of anime fliers and magazines lying around and decided to make a few envelopes. I checked the memories and saw that a few of you crafty folks have been doing this since forever.

Please forgive me if these questions seem incredibly dumb. Keep in mind that I know to add white spaces for the to and from addresses.

Are there any colors I should avoid? Are black and other dark colors ok?

Do you have any tips?

sorry for the text only but i'm having a small crisis.

Ok somewhere in my home is a recipe from woman's world for tiramisu cupcakes. I've made them before and have most of the ingredients leftover.

but i can't find the recipe and my roommate wants me to make 30-40 cupcakes for her wedding on the 23rd because she loved them...

can anyone help me? i googled but was unable to find anything helpful.

Dear Ladies and Gents,

I realllly want to have an alice in wonderland party this summer, however I don't want to pay like 10$ a pop or whatever per mug at the disney store. I was hoping I could get some cheap ones at the dollar store and transfer images on them somehow. But the question is how? and what kind of materials could I use that would be safe/non toxic to drink out of them? I tried to look in the memories, but didn't see anything directly related. Please help me :) :(
