How rude...

I simply asked for someone to help me find some styrofoam balls, and that if they were willing to sell me some, they could contact me outside of the community. I made no reference to an Etsy shop, a selling journal, or an online website. What good is this place if you can't ask for help? Honestly... I DID read all the rules, I don't need them repeated for me or highlighted. =/

Anyway, since I promised to show some stuff I've been working on lately...

My photo hosting site is finally working again so here are some pictures of the crafty things that i made for the stagette i threw on saturday night :)  I warn you, there are lots of pictures, and many depicting penises (not REAL ones!)

Thanks again for everyone's suggestions for how to make the penis pinata - it turned out wonderfully :D

Okay, my new boyfriend and me are coming up on our 1 month anniversary, we haven’t been dating long as you can see. But it has been one of the best months of my life!
I’m trying to figure out something to do for him…I can make actually anything! I work with all types of materials……just no croquet or kittening…..and I’d rather not sew anything for him.
He is a drummer in many different bands…. He loves music, whiskey, me and ummm…that’s about it……If you could think of something to do that would be awesome! ………..any ideas or stories would be great! Thank you….

And just so this isn’t a crappy anniversary post here are a few things I’ve made in the past little bit……

I’ve been drawing on myself a lot lately and thought I’d show off my favorite one, I fucking love octopuses!

more stuff this way…. )

Hi ladies,
For those of you who have made screen prints on clothing with speedball: how do you get rid of the shininess? I printed the design, and some spots needed touch-ups- and after I did that with a paintbrush (and let it dry) those spots are shiny while the printed part is normal matte!
I've ironed it already, too. My only theory is that those touched-up parts are thicker and need to be ironed longer?

thanks for any help! I don't want my design to be splotchy!

A friend pointed this out to me - Its a project in the works right now. This girl wants to make a diary with a different DIY crafter's online shop ad on it each day. The original deadline was July 1, and I hadn't remembered to post it here for you guys, but I looked today and the new deadline is July 7... So you've got a few days anyway, if you'd like to check it out. Its a chance for some advertisement for you! :)

Meet Natalie. Her favorite colors are purple and pink in any shade, she is very much a girly girl. In her spare time she makes cards for friends with wild flowers that she's pressed. If you decide to be roomies with her she hopes that you like the movie Sixteen Candles, because it's her favorite and she has to watch it at least once a week.

first thing, i'm a newb with fabrics, so i just get stuff that's nice and decently priced. anyways....
i found some wunnerful fabrics by Alexander Henry on ebay. he has alot of really fun stuff. so awesome i just had to share with you guys.
check out an ebay search of his stuff here. if you haven't heard of him, you'll like it!

secondly, i have a shirt that's like...i'm pretty sure mostly polyester and cotton..i think (forgive me i'm at work and not currently wearing said shirt :P) and i attempted to dye a bleach splotch on the left shoulder with Rit fabric dye. had to dye it twice for the dye to cover it up seamlessly. but alas, after a couple washes the bleach splotches are poping through again.

are synthetic(or at least half synthetic) materials hopeless to dye? or is there a better dye than Rit for that type of material?

any tips appreciated i've only ever dyed my hair before i attempted this, lol.

Hi everyone,

I've checked the memories and can't seem to find what I'm looking for..if you know where they'd be located, I'd surely appreciate it :)

I'm looking for interesting, creative or cost efficient ways to create sewn in fabric tags (such as a folded tag sewn into the seam) and hang tags. Thanks :)

I forgot I had some of that ribbon yarn until I found it yesterday. I was thinking of doing a small series of crocheted necklaces, but couldn't think of the right yarn. Well, I found it!

I have some cashmere & silk blend yarn that I'm going to try next for some jewelry. =]

Comments & Crit. Welcome!

Amanda!

So here is my generic, long-time lurker, first-time poster post. I've been so inspired by all of your lovely craft things. I only wish I had some of the amazing sewing/crafting/modeling talent you guys have. I'm starting simple and trying to take advantage of my new-ish sewing cabinet my grandma gave me. I'm working on an oh-so-popular t-shirt quilt now, which I will probably ask about later but I wanted to show you guys something old I made.

See Craftiness Here ) I should also say that I blatantly stole the idea for this from another craftgrrl almost 2 years ago. I looked for it in the memories to credit him/her but I couldn't find it. If this looks like your felt wallet (yours has a squid/octopus on it) then thank you for the idea!
