Question for people who love taking pictures.
What camera/digital camera do you use?
Are you happy with what you get?
Also Whats a good small digital camera that takes awesome pictures for zooming far away?

Hi, I'm trying to make some necklaces and I already have the pendants but I don't know how to get hold of some chains with or without the clasps.

Can any UK craftgrrls tell me where I can buy some, or buy the materials to make some please. This is probably a dumb question, but I thought it would be better to ask then to sit around with a load of cute pendants and nothing to do with them.

Thanks

Hello my craft fiends.

It's been soo long since I've posted any work. I'm revamping my site and updating my photos of work so I've been very busy with that, but hopefully I can start posting again soon! My apologies for text only. .

I was wondering if anyone could tell me a good way to get a list/schedule of craft shows, specifically in Massachusetts/New England. Or if anyone knows of any that are coming up?

How do people usually find out when they are? Word of mouth at other shows?

I make jewelry and some other stuff. Any tips would be very appreciated! Thank you

Due to unfortunate circumstances...
[ie. me forgetting to change the button-hole foot back to the normal-foot before beginning to sew normally, resulting in a metal-crunching sound and a few pieces going missing]
... my sewing machine broke.

How suckful.

Well, technically it isn't MY sewing machine. It's mums.
Gah, I need to buy one now.

Hi everyone,

I've been invited to partake in my company's holiday craft show once again, I was in it last year on a last minute whim to get rid of some excess ukrainian eggs. This year, I just don't want to offer dust catchers or knick knacks again, I'd like to offer something someone will USE. This is a show open to just employees to shop for gifts.

If you checked out the link you'll see that my company's all about sustainability and eco-friendly everything. So I'm thinking I'd like to play along that line for success.

I'm thinking crocheted mesh shopping bags, crocheted recycled plastic bag bags, crocheted dishcloths, fabric bags etc. I'm even considering doll quilts out of recycled clothing and aluminum can ashtrays (heh, yes there are smokers there). But I know there are patterns out there for using plastic mesh onion bags for shower scrubbies and pot scrubbers. Anyone know where I might find this pattern? And of course any other ideas are totally welcome, thanks!

There aren't any craft supply stores near me, so do you guys have an recommendations on good online retailers of supplies? Fabric, thread, bookmaking supplies, etc....

Thanks

I bought a bead kit today and made my first glass beads.
go to http://picasaweb.google.com/pwnstar.k/Beads if this doesn't load This is the start of the pretty one.

pics!  )

The next three are still cooling in the ceramic fiber so I can't take pictures of them yet.  I can't wait to make more!

(P.S. sometimes Picasa decides to kill my picture links so they might disappear, but I've posted a link...)

So I posted a couple days ago asking if anybody could help me out with figuring out some sewing terms - and now I have another puzzle with the same project D:

These are the three pieces I have. Now you're supposed to sew these three pieces together with the 'o's (the dots/circles) matching up and the 'x's matching up (along the bottoms of the pieces - it's kind of hard to tell). There's a link to the pattern off this page.

Now I thought I had this figured out when I looked at the pattern and instructions a week ago. It could be excessive sun exposure or just sleepiness - but I can't figure it out now.

The circles and x' are right where they should be on those pieces, so I know it's not that. Maybe I'm just not thinking outside the box enough right now.

If anybody could help me figure out how I'm supposed to piece this together - I'd really appreciate it!
