Does anyone know where if there is a free online stencil maker? Im looking to make a stencil of the words that are on the Terrible Towel (its for my halloween costume, Im a diehard Steelers fan).

Any help is great. I plan on using the stencil with fabric paint.

Armwarmers, a chair, and a cabled bag )

I'm making a much larger version of this purse for myself in some gorgeous purple Lion Suede (my dad randomly bought it for me one day because he thought I'd like it and my mom had dragged him into a craft store! How cute is that?!?). I'm also working on a crocheted Babette Blanket from Interweave Crochet, plus a scarf out of some Manos de Uruguay that a friend gave me for my birthday. After that I'm planning on doing a Twiggy Tweed bag out of some bright green wool with Sari silk for the "ribbon" running through it, and maybe a Le Slouch beret if I can find yarn that I want for it. How many projects do you usually have going on at a time?

My first post here and sadly I don't have many awesome things to show.  These are just some things I made last night and felt it was time to at least show my face instead of lurking. :-P  I have a few longer projects that are incomplete (tie-skirt, quilt, cross-stitch projects) but these... these are quick and easy!

Oh.. and please excuse my particularly wretched phone-tography.  Couldn't find the camera cord or the lap top.  So our digital camera was useless.  *sigh*

I saw this tutorial (here) and decided I wanted to make my own very small book. I made one using a business card that I gave to my boyfriend. This is my second one.

I used a cheap-o greeting card cut down to size, which I then covered with scrapbooking paper. The binding is sewn, per the tutorial, but I just used brown thread, which wasn't very sturdy. It's reinforced with clear tape. :/ Here's the cover behind the cut )

Sorry a couple of the photos are blurry; I was sickie pants last night but wanted to get this posted today.

Anyway, thanks for looking! I hope you enjoyed it.

My MIL made this great quilt for my son for his 4th birthday.  She is having a friend quilt it, but I had to show off what she did.  I can't wait to get it back from the quilter! :)

On To The Piture! )

This is a leather skirt that i re-did about 2 years ago. I finally got a chance to get a picture of it.

It's plain black leather skirt that zipped up on back and was about knee length....I wanna say it was from the 80's possibly 70's.

I hooked it up by making it a micro skirt and puttin' zippers in the front. I also made two loops to hold a bullet belt...which explains the blank area.

I also did the Iron Maiden logo and Eddie from the cover of the ablum Killers by hand. and the red detailing.

I also studded it....which took a few hours

with the back, the zipper broke so I replaced it with a metal zipper to match the front....I love wicked love zipper kits.

I'm not all that good with comute tsuff like LJ cuts and these pictures ain't so great probably but I'm gonna take more pictures soon.

It's almost no-sew. I did have to hem the edges because the material frayed too much. I used some stick on hook and loop fastener, a used paint roller, some batting, two rubber-bands and a little decorative trim to cover the rubber bands.

Sorry for the blurry pic.

I made earrings~! I haven't gotten the earring-hoop-back-claw-things yet, however.

But I did make it a necklace out of a keychain.

When my dad bought his Mini Cooper S, my mom bought him a $20 keychain from the dealership store. It broke probably six months later. I coveted that keychain, and while it sat in a wicker box for a year, I debated whether or not to steal it. I found some clear plastic string (much like fishing wire) and strung it on there and tied it around my neck, where it has resided for the last two weeks.

I call it: From Pocket to Neck.
Only not.

Now, how would you suggest I make this into a more lasting necklace? I can't decide whether or not I want it on a chain, like the Tiffany's chokers, or keep it on a clear string thing.

help! =)

So, I'm sitting here, bored out of my mind. I have tons of basic stuff around my house... but what do you guys like to do for fun? I normally stencil, but I don't have any pattern I really wanna try out right now.. so what do you guys like to do?

And, I'm planning on making my own prom dress this year, but I can't seem to find a good pattern. Any recommendations?

What is a good quality but affordable button maker?
Is there a preferred brand?
