Not a crafting post, but it has something to do with an item you use for crafting and pretty damn funny too.

So yesterday my dad took me to my last monthly prenatal appointment (10 weeks to go!). Pretty much uneventful other than the pens that were on the desk each had a large fake reddish daisy glued to the ends of them, pretty spiffy. Well, after the appointment we start heading down the elevator from the 6th floor to the ground floor. On the way down one other person wanted to get off on the 4th floor. When the doors opened My dad and I glanced across the hall to see a little boy sitting on a bench, completely entangled in bright orange yarn giggling away! My dad and I looked at each other and just burst into laughter. As soon as we were able to calm down and breath my dad says "Either his mom is going to be highly upset when she comes back or she's going to piss herself laughing as hard as we did."

Gotta love a kid who's interested in crafting too, so to speak. lol.

I have a question! I have a couple yards of lightweight, very drab natural muslin and I want to dye it a red or reddish color. So the question is, is there anything special I should be doing to make sure it turns out nice and even? I've never dyed any fabric before, actually. I was thinking of just grabbing some RIT at the store and going for it. Should I dye the fabric before I make the garment, or can I dye it after it's all put together? Any advice is much, much appreciated!

Kinda Crafty question
I want to make a watch, there is a particular shape I'm looking for. mainly what I want to try and do is customize the face of it.

Today I went to the art store to look at casting supplies, for plastic forms, but I don't know if investing the money for the supplies. Plus I wouldn't know where to begin.

So heres a pic of the type of watch form I've been trying to find.

This is a TV watch that Paul Frank does.
I really think the frame is cute. I want to try and replecate something close to it

If there isn't a easy way to build-my-watch
Is there a customize watch site?

I looked in the memories and really couldn't find anything on this. Tomarrow I'm probably going to Hobby Lobby to spend the gift card my mom got me for my birthday. I want to get some yarn so I can make some baby hats and a blanket for my little one who's going to be here in Nov. I was just wondering what type of yarn would be good for a baby blanket and hats because all of the yarn i have doesn't seem to be soft enough for this. Also, I will be making these on my set of knifty knitter looms if that helps.

Clearly I am a little challenged. How the heck does this type of clasp connect to the cord?

Hi Guys,

I am pretty new to the art of crochet. I have mastered granny squares (woohoo!!) and I am currently attempting my first beanie which is a series of mainly double crochets. The pattern calls for front post double crochets and front post half-double crochets and I have no idea how to do these. Can anyone point me in the direction of a tutorial with pictures (or even better yet, video!!) I've been searching fruitlessly :(

Appreciate your help!
