hello livejournal world,
i've been a craftgrrl member for about 88 seconds now so i thought i would introduce myself. :) i crochet like a crazy person, and i'm really excited because for the first time, i've been asked (by someone i didn't previously know, i've only made things for myself/friends/family so far) to make and sell someone a custom afghan.
i just recently got her request and started the project (which is probably going to take about a month), and i want to find someplace to hold me accountable and not let me put it off, so i thought i'd post progress reports here to keep myself motivated. (fyi, i'm an editor, my brain only understands DEADLINES).
ao will you guys help me NOT PROCRASTINATE? :) here's an "in-progress" shot of
( the first afghan i ever made ), i don't have a picture of it finished but i gave it to my mom for christmas three years ago.
ANYWAY
( this is the yarn i'm using! )aaaaaand this is my
first progress report pic (i could call them "benchmarks" but i'm not in iraq and i won't give the white house satisfaction of using their word)
SEPT 2:
hehe too bad she didn't really just want a scarf!
does anyone else have to really psych themselves up for huge projects like this or else you'll get impatient and abandon the whole thing? i love crocheting but i have the attention span of a gnat on crack. so thank you to everyone for humoring the new girl! ;)
