Do any of you all know the technical name for this type of paper? I have been trying to find it in stores around my town but I can't locate so I figured I'd order online. It's that sort of paper that has that velvety feel to it. I apologize for the lack of knowledge on my part but I figured you all would know.

Thank you in advance.

I'm looking for a tutorial on how to make what I *think* is called a lightbox. Not the thing you use to photograph things in good light, but a decorative box with a light inside and artowrk on one or more sides, backlit by the light. Does anyone know what I'm talking about, or know of any tutorials on how to make one? Sorry for the vague description, and thank you!

Look here!

hello crafty ladies and gents!  i just moved into a fabulous house.  not so fabulous?  ugly wallpaper (only on one wall, thank god) in my bedroom.  any ideas about how to cover it up, make it fab?  i don't know if i can take it down, and that seems kind of like a task anyways.

share your big brains with me :)

I made some fun sleepy eyes for the big tree out back. The pictures are kinda crappy because it’s cloudy and dusky, but I think you get the idea. It came out very cute. Click pick for slideshow.

Made out of chunky pastel glass beads and charms taken out of my sister's old keychains. Nothing complicated, they're pretty simple and straightforward.

Added at 2:30AM. Oh yes, I have been a busy bee ^-^

I wanted to make fairy dust necklaces like the ones sold in stores but didn't have any of that powder they used, so I thought seed beads would be a nice substitute.

If this isn't an appropriate place to ask this, I would greatly appreciate suggestions for other communities.

For Halloween, I'll be dressing as the Bride of Frankenstein. I would rather do this DIY and not buy a wig. Any thoughts on how I should go about making my hair stand up in the way that the Bride's does? My hair is straight, so I don't have any natural volume or curl to work with.

Photos behind the cut.

And so this isn't just an "Ask" post, here's a picture of my costume from last year. My husband and I got married on All Saint's Day, and for Halloween, we were a zombie bride and groom.
