The bags I've been using are the experimental first ones, and the other night when I got home from work, my bag fell apart. I couldn't put off making myself one any longer, so here it is.

Corsets

This isn't directly crafty, but it's a base garment for a costume I'm going to be working on over the next year. There will be a lot of crafty posts in regards to this costume, be assured. I know there are some avid costumers and cosplayers here so I thought I'd give you guys a poke.

Anyone out there familiar with corsets? I'm looking at this corset for a cosplay cotume (Meru (dragoon form)/Legend of Dragoon). The sizing chart is here.

I'm a small in all measurements except the bust. I'm a C cup bordering on D.

So which size would I go with? Does the cup size for a "small" corset matter if it laces up the back, thus being adjustable to accommodate extra boobage?

Hey all -- I'm thinking about using some birthday money to treat myself to a Print Gocco. I've been drooling over these for years and have a lot of projects in mind I'd like to try with one. The shipping alone makes this a big investment so I want to know what I'm getting into.

Anyone here who has one -- what specific model/size do you have/recommend?

Also a couple of other questions...
Can you print on a larger paper than the size of the print? For instance, if it's the ~5" x 7" size, can you make the 5"x7" print on a 8.5" x 11" paper?
Does the ink go far enough or are you constantly reordering ink? What about the bulbs & screens?
If you have the B6 size, is it possible to do 2+ color prints? Obviously registration is tricky, but is it possible with some getting used to?

Thanks a ton! Any links and resources you can offer would be fantastic!

The Races

I'm thinking of mucking about with some millinery stuff since it's racing season and my craft stores have beefed up on feathers and other fun stuff.

I was wondering what type of glue would be best for millinery, and if anyone could direct me to some good websites outlining basics that would be great.

so i wanted to make some scoodies for my daughter, who hates wearing scarfs but is fine when i make the bands on her hats super thick. so i waited till she was at daycare and pulled out her old fleece crib blankets and cut up two of them to make scoodies

Wands?

Around the time that the 7th Harry Potter book came out there was a flurry of posts with people who were making their own wands from a tutorial. I swear at the time I bookmarked it, but apparently not. I browsed the memories and it was not there either, does anyone remember this tutorial? Thanks!

Does anyone know offhand when the pattern sale at Joann's is going to be? Also, does anyone have a 50% coupon handy to use when I do go shopping? Thanks in advance!!!

I need a little bit of help. I bought some keys off ebay a while ago. Bad thing is they're very rusty. I've got a fair bit off with a wire sponge. But There's still some bits I'm unable to get off and I wondered if any of you guys had ideas for getting the rest off?

So, anyway, for anyone wondering why my post randomly disappeared and then reappeared, the pictures were the wrong size. I got a mod note, but I was at work, and didn't edit it in time. So, I'd really like feedback and stuff for this, if you wouldn't mind. *hates my life* *really hates my life*

So, my camera has disappeared. I was thinking about replacing it some time in the next year anyway, since it has this funny habit of deciding not to focus in low light and eating batteries like I go through Milanos, even when compared to my sister's camera or my mothers. Luckily, one of my friends let me borrow his to get some pictures.

Incomplete stuff. Dumb, I know, but it sometimes helps me get motivated on a project when I know others have seen my crappy half-done stuff. )

Ok ladies, i need some advice.

I'm going to be a gumball machine for a costume party tomorrow night (last minute costumes suck) and i'm gluing gumballs to a shirt  to wear. I was going to do superballs, but gumballs were a bag of 101 for $1 at the dollar store. So i have a couple of things i could do.

Should i hot glue the gumballs or use the awesome amazing Allene's craft glue? I almost think hot glue because it's wet for a lot less time.

Do you think spraying sealant on them would keep them from being too sticky? or do you think i run too much of a risk of them running if i do?

I already have a "turn knob" from an old costume that i'm using, but making a spout kind of thing with some cardboard tube and those crazy ball looking things in my hair.

Any other advice or ideas that would be very very cheap and easy?
