I bought a condura wallet that was pretty much just plain denim and i thought i'd jazz it up.
This is what i got! I personally love it..and am a bit sad i'll have to try and find a new home for it (i'm so poor, lol)

I was invited to participate in a book to be edited in China called Slow handicraft : 80 handmade creators and D.I.Y hot tips :-) I've written a small text about myself and then made a tutorial, explaining how to make my button bobby pins.

I've been experimenting with fleece hats from freehand patterns and I think I made this one too short. As in, it fits around my head nicely but doesn't come down to cover my ears--which is kind of what I need a winter hat to do. It's just plain right now; I haven't stitched the the decoration on yet. Should I go ahead and decorate and just have cold ears, or make another one?

Bah.

At least the matching Daddy-and-baby monkey hats came out nicely. I'll post pictures soon.

Sealing Magents and Coasters

I've looked through the Memories and can't quite find the answer I'm looking for in the decoupage section.. I've been creating magnets, bookmarks, and coasters from magazine clippings for about a year with the intention of selling them some time in the future. The coasters are simply bar coasters with clippings glued on and the magnets are clippings glued to Color-a-mag sheets. The problem is that I can't get a clean seal on them. So far I have tried various coats of Mod Podge with various top coats of Design Master Clear Finish, with both a sponge brush and a regular paint brush. I'm always left with brush strokes and a not very professional looking finish. I've even purchased a laminator which I like for the bookmarks, but not so much for most of the magnets and the coasters are to thick to squeeze through. Does anyone have suggestions for how to get a more professional looking finish for either magnets or coasters? Any advice would be appreciated, this has been driving me nuts!

I've been a lurker here for awhile now, throwing out comments left and right, so it's about time I make an appearance. I thought I would start off with an idea I picked up here in this community; making jewellery out of tarot cards!

I've had these small Osho Zen Tarot cards I didn't really know what to do with. So I punched holes in them and hung them on simple thread. And now several of my friends will get three tarot cards each with the christmas card (also handcrafted of course!)this year :)
