Let me boast of a new portrait I've recently loomed. It is based on a photo. There are 22 shades of beads in the portrait. Here it is.

Lots o' Xmas gifts!

I finally took the time to get my pics off my camera from all the holiday celebrations! And I remembered I hadn't yet posted the rest of my presents.

This scarf I made for my 14yr old niece. It's all speech bubbles with chat lingo. I made it with arctic fleece and sewed two colors together so it's reversable. One side is a gorgeous green and brown stripe the other is solid brown. I also reversed the fringe so the opposite colors are on either side. I was VERY happy with the final product. It's probably the biggest project I've done since it was all hand sewn and I never sew!!! Funny that two days after I finished it, my mom gave me a sewing machine for Xmas! :p

Carrie Underwood is so beautiful. I want to look like her... But in lieu of plastic surgery, I've opted to try and tackle this most delightful dress she is wearing on the cover of Glamour. However, I am not sure what kind of pattern I should look for to at least mock the same shape. It's also layered so that is probably another obstacle I will have to face...
