Question!

Hey everyone!
I know this isn't a knitting community but maybe somebody knows (or can suggest) something to help me!

I am hoping to keep a swatch book for my yarns I knit with.
I have already set up pages with the yarn's label, what I knit, and which needles I used.

I would like to find a way to affix small yarn swatches (probably 2 x 2 inches) to each page
so I can easily see yarn weight, look, etc...

I'm using a sketchbook so I'm trying to find a way to attach these to regular sketchbook pages.
I'd prefer to keep it in this
because my sketchbook is hard-covered and easy to carry around if I'm yarn shopping or trying to gauge for a pattern

I figure tape won't be able to hold the swatches in place with all the varying weights and materials
and the only other idea I came up with was using velcro and adding one piece to my sketchbook and sewing the other piece to my swatch
(do you think this would work?)
because I also figure I can't get the yarn swatch to stick to just velcro.

I'm not sure, haha I'm just wondering if anybody has made anything like this
or if they have any super-awesome ideas I could try!

Sorry for no picture...
text-only sucks, and I apologize.
so to make up for it.

YOU'RE AWESOME
hope I make your day :)

Hello everyone

I've come upon a slight problem and I hope someone can give some good tips on how to do something! I recently bought a book as a gift (i made a paper diary also from old book scraps to go along) but I can't get the bar code sticker off the back. I haven't attempt it yet because I'm afraid and never am good at removing it 100%. Does anyone know any tricks to get stickers like that off successfully?

thank you much! :)

Hello!

I stumbled upon this crafty place with the help of my Stumble button.  I have been looking through the entries and everything looks so nice.  I got a lot of inspiration just from looking at all of the posts.  I went a little crazy and spent hours looking through the archives rather than doing my break homework.  It was definitely worth it!

About me: I'm in college.  I like to make things when I'm not doing homework or reading.  I got started with crocheting when my mom taught me the basics back during middle school.  The first thing I made was supposed to be a scarf - it came out like a triangle.  I then moved on to jewelry making.  Now, I'm branching out to areas of general craftiness as I get ready to move into my first very own house.  It's very nice to meet you all!

Happy crafting!

I don't know how I'm finding time to make jewellery, take pictures, and post them on here when I have 2 presentations next week, plus a test and essay due.. anyways, on to the jewellery!

I am doing a few canvas paintings for the gallery showing in May-June and did these two. First is a poison Dart Frog and I like how he turned out

Second painting is of a baby Koala. He turned out looking cutesier than I was planning (not sure how I thought a sleeping baby koala wouldn't be really really cute lol.

Today I got busy and finished two more scrapbook pages for my album. I hope you take a look and let me know what you think. This is a big hobby of mine. This is also cross-posted to _scrapbooking_ community.pages here )
