So I'm doing some spring cleaning (it's spring, according to my allergies) and I happened upon some wallpaper border paper leftover from redoing my room years ago. It's about 8 inches tall and has purple on the top and bottom, with little fairy children sitting at a pond. It's really cute, but I don't know what to do with it. And I'm a packrat. What can I do with it?

I don't think this is the exact community for this question but since it is "somewhat" related I thought there might be someone here with advice. (or can point me to another community)

I found two exquisite vintage dresses recently at a thift store. The problem is they are too small in the ribcage/breast area and I can't zip them up. I am in the process of losing weight but I don't know if the circumference around my ribcage will change much. However, I do believe my bust size will decrease.

I was trying to find a sewing or dress design community to ask if I should hold on to them to see if they would fit if I lost weight, or if I can modify the dresses (or possibly copy the design somehow and increase the size), or if I should just get rid of them. I just have really little to no experience with pattern making and how to calculate the measurements, etc.

Anyone know if there are any good sewing communities that would be helpful or have any ideas? I searched but nothing came up really.

Thanks!

This is not the first time Mr. Wells has published something like this. He is, apparently, not only an asshat, but a glutton for punishment.

I know all I do is ask for help but don't worry, someday I'll post some results :)

I'm making a purse right now, and I don't really use patterns because I don't have any. Anyway, this is my first time with interfacing, and I plan to put it on both sides of the purse, and I'd like to put some in the bottom to make it kind of stand up, or at least keep its shape. I just don't know how to go about sewing the bottom to the sides... :( any advice?

This year, I worked with a class of 21 grade 9 students (they're all about 14). It's nearly the end of the year, and I need some kind of project I can do for them to say goodbye. I won't be going back to that school next year, so I want a little something to give to them. I have about two weeks, and not a lot of money.
A few years ago, I did a little project with some index cards where I wrote each kid's name on one side, decorated and done up all fancy, and then on the other side wrote something I liked about them or a positive comment. The kids loved it, and I ran in to a few of them at this school, and they'd even kept them (aww). I can't seem to come up with anything but this to do again. Help!

I've been cooped up for a few days. Penniless and over-yarned, I'm making good on a promise to myself to use up the stash. Anyone so inclined can tell me how to put images behind a cut. . . for now:

Cat toys, dish cloths, and wrist pillows. Excellent stash busters. Excellent gifts.

I'm stoked!
