Have a weird question for you all. Is there any reason you shouldn't spray-paint electrical cords? I have Christmas lights wrapped in ivy and silk flowers around the ceiling in my home office/craft room. I'd like to tone it down a little, keep the lights but lose the ivy and flowers. I like the amount of light in that area, and the only other way to get diffuse overhead light like that is to install lights in the ceiling, which is a whole lot more money than I can really afford. So I thought, maybe do something with ribbon to hide the ugly cords. But it would really help if the light string didn't have dark green cord. I'd like to spray-paint them white so that they blend a bit better.

Thoughts?

I'm applying for an artist's collective with some pieces so I figured that since I took the time to take some good, ok, alright (I'm no photographer) pictures I might as well post them here. Tell me if you guys can't actually see the pieces due to the size lj computed them as.

I mean really, it seems like you can't go two minutes without seeing one.

Anyhoodle, it's been a while since I've posted anything so here's a bunch of pictures of some things I've been working on.

Thanks for looking, you guys, and I apologize to those of you with dial-up for all the pics.

So I'm arts and craft director at a girlscout camp, a job which is crazily fun and exciting but also exhausting. The camp has a very poplar horseback riding program, and I've been racking my brain to think of horse related crafts. We decorated horse shoes last week, which was very popular last week, but now I'm out of horse ideas (not being a horse person myself) and googling has turned up very little. Does anyone know of any inexpensive horse related crafts? Thanks!
