Sorry for the text only post. I'm running out of energy and inspiration. Next week is a charity bake sale that I'll be participating in. I'm not sure how many gourmet cookies I'll donate--there probably won't be any decorated ones--but I'd like a creative way to present them. Does anyone have any ideas? Links and photos are really, really appreciated.

ETA: I do not want to individually vacuum seal them.

Has anyone here worked with Epoxy resin casting? It's been many many years from the last time I worked with it and basically have forgotten by now.

I want to make mold from alginate, cast a negative in plaster of paris and then poor resin in to cast the object. will that work? Obviously the plaster cast is for one time use.

Thanks for the help,
MK

I posted pics of my beads I'd made, but never actually showed off the neckace and earrings I made out of them.

Remember These? )

I also painted a T-shirt for my husband's birthday.

It's an idea that's already been done, but I loved it so much that I had to make it my own:

So Dragon*Con is this weekend and while looking at the schedule, I didn't see any knitting groups this year! Maybe I missed it, but I saw no crafty love for us nerds.

If anyone wants to meet up at the Con and craft (crafts of all kinds) or around the city this weekend, please email me! Email listed in profile.

So I thought that maybe y'all crafty gals could maybe give me an answer for this...

So I'm sort of a garter nazi. I DESPISE the excuse for clips that they have on belts now a days. I seriously would like to just have a pair of clips like you see on those things that keep your mitten attached to your jacket. Remember those when you were little? Anyway, where on earth can I find ones lke that?! Do they even exist? Seriously, I just like, can't keep the flimsy ones up.

Okay, sorry, I'm just sort of in a mood, so, yeah. :)

I just found out that my friend who is pregnant is having a girl. I've been waiting til we knew the gender before I made her anything. Now my question is, what sewing patterns can you recommend for infants that are fairly simple to make (the difficulty doesn't really bother me tbh) but more importantly fit well/are comfortable for the baby?

Or suggestions on how I can make baby clothes that are Spiderman/Pokemon themed (to please the Dad cos I know he really wanted a boy...)
