Finishing things - knitted sweater

In a stroke of genius, I have determined that actually FINISHING stuff I started can be a great way to make space in my sewing room for, you know, ME. I'm notorious for starting stuff (I am not alone here, I know it) with plenty of lead time for Christmas and birthdays, and eventually giving the handmade gift one and two years AFTER the occasion. My father got a merchant navy turtleneck sweater in July 2008, intended to be his Christmas present in 2006. Then his Father's Day present in 2007, then his Christmas present in 2007, then Father's Day again... and so on.

Behold! I give you the MIRACLE SWEATER: I started it in March, 2008, and IT IS FINISHED! TODAY!

Bleaching?

Hi. I tried to find this in the memories, but couldn't. I'm wanting to work on a project involving a black hoodie that I have. I want to do some bleach and sharpie work on it. Now, I've used one of those bleach pens, but I was wondering about the bleach/water solutions.... I've seen where people will say 3 or 4 parts water to 1 part bleach.... what does this mean? I know, I sound stupid for asking... but I'm confuzzled. can someone help?

So really bored tonight and i have some cat toy;s laying around that my cats never play with. And being Pregnant, lead me to a interesting idea.. Which lead me to my Yarn and a crochet hook..

Beading goodness

So, I've been making some stuff...

My Mom got some necklaces from a group selling things made from Bead for Life beads, as well as the beads themselves. However, they didn't have any earrings, so she bought some BfL beads so that I could make earrings for her. I made 6 pairs of earrings.

Every so often, I buy a pound of "Everything Mix" from my online bead suppliers. You never know what you are going to get in these bags. I love going through and sorting out the treasures I find in the bag. When I got done sorting this pound, there were some seed beads left, but not really enough to be worth sorting out into individual compartments. However, I did like the color combination, and I wondered if I had enough beads to make a bracelet.
