My mother-in-law recently bought me my first sewing machine for my birthday. I've sewn a few things by hand before, with no training or instruction, but never with a machine. I was given a pattern and fabric by my mother years and years ago. I read my instruction manual and gave it a shot... ( let's see how things turned out. )

Fabric and ribbon noticeboard

Hi hi, first time posting here! Over summer I decided I needed a notice board for going back to University... but I didn't want to settle for a plain cork pinboard. So I made this one, which is completely pin-free (useful for me, since I'm sure I'd forever lose them everywhere). Everything slots under the ribbons and is cushioned by the padding under the fabric.

It wasn't too hard to make, plus it makes my room look pretty :)
