Well hello there!
It is time to announce the winners for this little give-away right here.

First off I would like to say thank you to every one who responded to my post. Especially those who took the time to write such lovely things. It was so fun and nice to read every comment, it really made my night!

My husband kept pressuring me to use a web random number generator thingie (he's a geek), but I went total old-school and printed up the comment pages, folded each username and dropped them into a hat.

Just look at all of them!

Hey everyone,

It's been a while since I showed anything off, so I thought I'd do a little post with a variety of things. Monkey, fairy, and jewelry ahead! )

That's it! Thanks for looking, everyone!

I've been experimenting with shrink plastic lately - specifically Shrinky Dinks - but I'm having quality issues. First of all, black Sharpies don't seem to work well, as the ink comes off during or after baking, so I need to find a new permanent marker to use. But the biggest issue I'm having is that my pieces come out of the oven all pock marked and totally unprofessional looking! It isn't entirely obvious until you catch the light, but then you can see dozens of pits, divots, and imperfections that just look awful.

I'm baking at 325ยบ in a conventional electric oven. My pieces are placed colored side up on brown paper on a cookie sheet. I've been using a magazine or notebook to flatten them as soon as they come out of the oven.

Has anyone here had similar problems and know how to fix them? It's a fun hobby, but I'll have to give it up if I keep getting pieces that aren't worth displaying. Thanks!

I'm making my first hat and so I'm practicing crocheting in rounds. The directions say "Now rep Rnd 5 only until hat measures 7 1/2" from center top." Does that mean 7 ad a half inches across (diameter) or 7 and a half inches from the center to the edge?

Was inspired by [livejournal.com profile] lil_bella_girl  's entry of flat marbles accesseries. (http://community.livejournal.com/craftgrrl/11662181.html) Thus, I decided to make my very own... flat marble magnets!
