My little cousin sent me this picture, and she doesn’t remember where it came from, but she wants one for her birthday :)

I’d hate to blatantly rip off the design, but it’s to cute. Does anyone recognize it?

It’s uploaded to my photobucket.

I apologize for the cross postings!

I have short hair and I want to integrate a fauxhawk into my costume.
I thought about a rocker or Goth Barbie, but I'm afraid those ideas are way overdone... what do you guys think?

Also, I want to dress up my dog like Gizmo from Gremlins. He's a brown and white Aussie/Sheltie mix, so his hair is perfect for it, but I want something that indicates a costume, so I figured a pair of Gizmo ears would be the best route.... I'm not sure. I don't want to just put a tag on him that says "Gizmo." That's too goofy. I've done a google search for Gizmo ears and found nothing.

Suggestions are needed and appreciated.

Quick intro post. My dear friend [livejournal.com profile] shanin suggested I join this community. If nothing else, I can spare my poor friends' list the endless craft posts. lol!

I've been crafting forever. I cross stitch, sew, crochet, paint, do woodwork, carving, burning... and about anything else I try to some level of success. I cannot quilt or knit however. Last time I tried to learn how to knit I threw the needles across the room. Granted that was 15 years ago, but I haven't tried again since.

I'm going to try and get back into the local craft show circuit locally, so I'm busy making a variety of things.

Thanks ahead of time for the input.

My name is Katie and I am new to this community!

I am a sophomore in college, and I feel like all my creativity has vanished since I came to college. My last year of high school was spent in all sorts of art classes. I feel that was when I was most creative, seeing as how I had all the supplies and materials I needed.

My boyfriend and I have our one year in November, and then Christmas is just after that. Instead of buying him concert tickets, clothes, a build-a-bear stuffed animal, etc... I want to make him something. We did not know each other in high school and I want to make him something to show him that I do have a creative side [and that I am not just making it up!]

The problem is, I am not sure what to make him. I like to spend a lot of time on projects, and time is something that I can't seem to find enough of lately! I loooooved throwing on the pottery wheel in high school, but since I don't have access to a pottery wheel now, that is out of the picture. I like to work with clay, and sculpting small things out of other material. I also like to paint, but not pictures... [I like to paint tables, vases, clay pots, etc]

This was probably lots of useless information, but I need some ideas! It has been a long time since I have done anything artistic. The last project I worked on [this summer] was painting a corn-hole thing for my dad/brother. Help me! <3

I'm desperate because I have two tests to study for and a cape to make by Friday. My sewing machine is broken and this needs to be done by hand. Or something...

I am going as a modern/i'm too poor to care about making this look completely accurate Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. I need a red cape to make me look regal and break up my mostly black outfit. I was thinking a waist or mid-waist length cape that simply fastens in the front either by button or a ribbon tie. How do I go about making a cape. Is it crazy simple and I'm just stupid?

I'm not looking for a hooded cape either. Just a simple shawl type thing. I'd try it myself but I can't afford to waste my red sateen fabric and it come out wonky and looking like I threw a yard of fabric around my shoulders.

Help?!
