I'm planning on making reusable shopping bags for holiday presents. I'm unemployed, broke, and have lots of free time. They will be made from the bolt of purple fabric I used for dorm 'wallpaper'. However, I'm undecided about the particulars of the pattern.

So here's a little survey for anyone who owns a reusable shopping bag (rough measurements are fine!):
  1. What are the measurements of your bag?  Do you like the size & depth?
  2. What shape is your bag?  (I'm pretty sure I'll be making mine boxy, with a flat bottom)
  3. How long are the handles, and how far apart are they sewn on the bag?
  4. Is there anything else you would change about the bag?
  5. And of course, did you make it yourself?
I myself used several bags and always meant to make some.  I don't do the shopping now, mommy does, since I am an unemployed recent college graduate in a sluggish economy.

I love the skull pendants that I did for Halloween and wanted to do some for Christmas so I did a skull pendant and sculpted a Santa hat for his head and made a mold of it and I really like how it turned out. I really think that Santa really needs to eat some more cookies!

Hi guys,  I was planning on making Christmas Ornaments as presents, unfortunately (as happens sometimes) they're not coming out as nice as I'd hoped...

Do you guys have any ideas to make nice looking/easy christmas ornaments.
I'm using the regular round glass ornaments.

(I'm at work right now and can't post the pictures of what I have, sorry)

Any help would be appreciated :)

Thanks!

A friend is having a baby shower on Sunday so I whipped up one of these little ribbon blankies.

Second Ribbon Blankie

It's pretty self explanatory, but I did a quick writeup on how to make it here.

I found the yellow fabric at a thrift store, and spent about 15€ on the fleece and ribbons. I had enough to make two plus gobs of fleece and some ribbon leftover. All said, they were probably around 8€ a piece to make =)

So I am definitely not much of the jewelry-making type.  However, a while back in Hawaii I received two beautiful red coral beads from a very lovely older woman.  They are chunky and perfect for turning into gauges.  One is near the size of a 00 or 0 which is what I would like to shape them to.  The other one is a little larger.  Has anyone had experience with gauges? Does anyone here know really how to carve coral?  I don't want to ruin the beads, I've only worked with metals before..so please help!!

Blue Beard Felt pin

I just made this little pin out of felt that I sewed and glued together. It's just over two inches tall.
