According to Apartment Therapy, they're covered in resin, then shaped. I kinda want one. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could make one? The website of the person who originally made it doesn't seem to sell it.

I've never worked with resin before, and it's a large piece.

A few drawings I did a while back. These are 3 of about 7 sketches I've ever done in my entire life. It was kind of phase, haha.

I have been making myself a new bag, since my old one is falling apart, and I'm making it for the first time with a lining, now i have sewed the lining all up so its now a bag, and then i was about to sew the outer part and then sew them together, when all of the sudden i wondered, how much bigger should the outside be? I left about 3 cm room ( about an inch) on all sides for the outer side but im not sure if thats enough?

Also, I took a jar of mod podge with from the states and ever since I have been happily mod-podging various items, when I wondered, does that stuff yellow over time? because if it does, i might be better off not mod podging certain items xD

A late Christmas gift I made for a friend and a brooch for me:

Orange & Oilslick Earrings, aprx lifesize

I call these 'oilslick' pearls. I love the way there's a shimmering rainbow of colours over the 'spilt oil' grey-black surface. The person I made these for wears lots of orange, so the crystal bicones are Swarovski's "Fire Opal", a mottled orange that's a fantastic little shot of colour. The earwires are 8mm sterling wire, and I used 5mm fine silver wire for the headpins.

Spiral Into My Heart Brooch, aprx lifesize

I've been seeing a lot of really cute felt jewellery recently so I thought I'd make myself a brooch. The center is a ceramic cabochon, and the other materials are some opaque red seed beads (#8 I think), glue, a black & white striped ribbon, red thread for sewing down, black silk thread for blanket stitch around the heart's rim, some very thick (aprx 3mm) crimson felt, a piece of thin green felt for backing and a steel brooch pin.

This my first post here, having been a long time lurker. Here are some recent bits I've made, all really simple, I'm still learning.

I've been a member of this community for awhile but this is my first post :) I'm learning how to bead (basically teaching myself, following tutorials online, etc) and I made some necklaces/bracelets. Any opinions, good or bad, is highly welcome!

A good friend is leaving to go travelling around Thailand, China, Cambodia and Vietnam in March. I'd love to make her a going away present but am at a loss for what would be useful for her to take with her. I knit and sew mostly.

Any ideas?

In case you're not familiar with him, Joss Whedon is the creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly/Serenity, and Dr. Horrible. I suspect there's a fan or two on Craftgrrl. It does, of course, contain a discussion of Jayne's hat.
