Do you know?

Over time, I've become dissatisfied with my jewelry findings supplier. I'm asking for more and more uncommon pieces and the supply is just not available. Shipping charges are getting silly.
Where is your favorite online source for jewelry making findings?
Especially suppliers that will have findings other than gold(plate), silver(plate), and copper(plate). Here and there, I've picked up ear wires, lobster-clasps, jump-rings, and whatnot in bronze, black enamel, and niobium... but I cannot get these easily with my usual supplier.

I can add a tag, but not remove a mistaken tag? Help! Error is "beading: jewelry".

Gathering and Sewing help

Hi ladies and gents, long time lurker, occasional poster here.
I really need help with a baby sling I'm sewing. It's the Simplicity pattern 3712, and the instructions aren't as clear as I'd like them to be. It has me gathering nearly 20 inches of fabric into less than 7. It's so thick! I've already broken a denim needle trying to go through it. Pictures after the cut...

And here's a photo of my first ever bleach stencil, I'm so proud of it:

Blocking bamboo knits?
Mar. 7th, 2009 07:51 pm![[identity profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/openid.png)
I'm working on a herringbone scarf using Patons Silk Bamboo (70% bamboo, 30% silk). It's starting to curl so I know I will have to block it later, but I'm not sure which method to use. Googled a bit but wasn't able to come up with anything, only that blocking may cause the bamboo to lose its crispness and lustre. I'm leaning towards just pinning and spritzing, but I don't know if that will be enough to kill the curl.
What are your experiences with blocking yarn with bamboo in it? Any suggestions would be helpful!
