Old jeans

Hello, I have about ten pairs of jeans I can't wear anymore because of wearing and tearing on difficult places :/ It's a shame, since they still look newish on every other place but there. The tearing happens right at the crotch area, usually at the very inside of my upper inner thigh. The fabric is worn there, it's become very thin. My mother tried just stiching it shut, but that only holds for about a week.
Tips for fixing? Or crafty advice on what to do with the pants otherwise?

Dog Toy

My dog (Cody) had a favorite toy - this fleecy stuffed lamb from Target that made baa-ing noises when you squeezed it. She loved it so much that she destroyed it, and Target didn't have any more in stock so I couldn't get her a new one. Honest to god she moped around for weeks afterwards. I had kept the voicebox from the original lamb, so I decided to try and make her a replacement. Nothing too complicated, just a simple cube, stuffed and voiceboxed. So I bought some duckcloth/twill/canvas/whatever and some fleecy stuff and got to sewing.

I cut the canvas, then cut the fleece slightly smaller, and sewed the fleece to the canvas and sewed the whole thing into a cube.

( Bring in the stunt double! )

She loves it! And even though it's a cube, we still call it a lamb, lol.

I've got a bunch of worn out, holey, mismatched and too-small socks that I'd like to do something with, but I can't really think of anything. They're all sorts of fun colors and patterns so I'd like to do something crafty with them instead of throwing them in with the rest of the rags. Anyone have any ideas?

Pretty in Pink

A friend of mine's birthday was a few days ago. So I took a pair of pink and black tiger striped pants she handed down to me ages ago and used them to make something new for her. I remember her telling me that she loved those pants, but just couldn't fit into them any more. Pink isn't my thing, so I never wore them. I just kept thinking they could be useful and held onto them. I'm really glad I did too. ( Pictures )
