Tutorial - Newspaper Bunting
Jul. 2nd, 2009 07:17 am![[identity profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/openid.png)
I've never made bunting before, so I kind of made it up as I went along. I wish I had better pictures. I made this at like 4 in the morning while I was waiting for my bedding to finish drying lol.

( More Pictures! )
I made a tutorial as I went along too. You can see the tutorial and pictures of the entire bunting here on my blog!
I plan to make some more (possibly tonight at my craft night) for an upcoming potluck BBQ I'm having, so maybe then I'll have better pictures/better bunting to show off :)
Trying to be clear...

Hello fellow crafters. I come to you with a request for help. At my job, we are participating in the Relay for Life and we are raising funds. I have been charged with trying to find the directions for making a beaded band that you place on a water bottle to keep track of how many bottles of water you consume in a day.
Any idea or directions to links as to where I might find such a thing?
As always, Thank you in advance and have an awesome weekend!!

Teacup and Saucer Pincushion

Good afternoon everyone! I thought I would share my latest finished project. It's a teacup pincushion that I made for a friend of mine for her birthday. She's really in to Victorian era/Steampunk/Lolita stuff, so I decided to make this for her. :)
( Enjoy! )

Want some cassettes?
Jul. 2nd, 2009 05:50 pm![[identity profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/openid.png)
Hey everyone!
Does anyone still make those cassette wallets? Or other crafts using cassettes? My friend gave me a case full of old 80s tapes because I still have a cassette player in my car, but it recently started eating them. I want to make sure they'll go to a good home so I can ship them to you if you'd like 'em. Let me know if you want the names of the albums first.
[Edited!]
I should've known better, but I was too lazy to get them from my car.
Aerosmith, Bad English, Eagles, Bad Company, Bon JOvi, Kix, Def Leppard, Guns N Roses, Dokken, Queen, Motley Crue, Ratt, Scorpions, Van Halen, White Snake, Led Zepplin.
[Edited again!]
I'm hoping someone will just take all or the majority of them all at once? That's why I figured the craft community might be good. I just want to throw them in a flat rate box and be done with them. If not, I'll split them up by who asked for what first.

Polyvinyl tubing conundrum.

I decided I was going to make hula hoops today. Went down to the Home Depot but all they had available was low psi half inch tubing and something a little sturdier called "Funny Pipe." I got the Funny Pipe because it looked preferable to the half inch tubing... alas, it didn't work very well at all. Aaand since I cut into it I can't return it.
My fiance suggested I save it for when we have a garden, but given our salaries and the cost of our impending wedding and the cost of living in Southern California, that may not happen for years, if at all.
What would you do with 40' of black, 120psi polyvinyl tubing?

Free Style Machine Embroidery

Hi Everyone
I have to admit first, that I am not a fan of machine embroidery, but I want to see what all the fuss is about. Does anyone know if there is a tutorial on how to do free style machine embroidery - especially the stuff where you add water soluble vilyne sandwiching different thin fabrics then sew over it to secure it together.
Thanks in advance!
Nicola
