has anyone ever re-used these kitty litter jug things they put litter in now?
I feel as though it has another purpose in life and I am beginning to grow a small collection of them.

Tonight, after trying to find the perfect picture of Jason Voorhees' mask to print out on a shrinkydink to bake and make into a necklace, I gave up..
then realized "wait.. why don't I just get super creative and sculpt it!"

..I don't use fimo clay, or anything like that.. ever. u_u and I'm not very good.. but I'm actually really proud with what came out!

Chh-chh-chh-chh... hahh-hahh-hahh-hahh... )

Have any of you played around or even purchased the Garment Designer software? Shockingly, they have a version as well as a demo for Mac so I have been playing with it since last night. At $199 (plus $25 each for two extra sets of templates I will probably get eventually) it is surprisingly reasonable and I am really considering getting it.

So, any experience? Comments?

I have been thinking about making one of those duct tape body forms for help with my sewing, and I was wondering about some experiences with them. So if you have made one, was it easy to make? How well did it hold up? And has it helped you in your sewing?

I want to start making some bras/undies and lingerie, so I need something with my exact measurements and curves that can handle some stretchy tight fabrics on it. I'm a 36DDD with a 26" waist and its impossible to find cute lingerie to fit so I'm gonna try making some.

I'm thinking of filling out the form with some of that spray foam stuff from a hardware store so it would be a bit more stiff. Or I'm open to other recomendations too.

Thanks in advance. I'd love to hear your stories about making a duct tape form.

I am making a steampunk shirt for my boyfriend (from this tutorial) and I've gotten to the point where I need to make a button hole. Through much trial and error and forehead smacking I've come to the decision that button holes are evil. I've watched every tutorial I could find and have tested on about 20 sample swatches with no really usable results. What I want to know is can I just hand sew the button hole? I was under some impression that machining them would make for a more durable finished product, but right now I just want a FINISHED product, period. My mom suggested Velcro, but eh. I rather not go that route.

Be gentle; I'm a novice ;)

My brother got married yesterday, and I knitted part of their wedding gift. I made them "The Pillow of Sei Shonagon" from the Knitalong book.

The whole pillow.

My friend really likes elephants and she's been having some bad luck lately, so I made her a sculpy elephant.
(Sorry for the bad picture quality, my flash was super harsh)

I went to the show I mentioned on this blog last night, and it was pretty much amazing. I bought some things other people had made, but I also did a needlefelting make & take, and then ended up buying a needle felting kit.

I have seen some amazing needlefelting on this blog and this is not it. )

Does anyone know for sure where I can get this fabric?

Satin with a Spiderman sorta feel to it. )

Thanks for your help!
