Hi there! :)

Saw this comm featured and had to join in ^_^.

I'm a leatherworker by trade, and now a resident of the sunny state of California. :)

My latest project is FINALLY  completed!!!! I've been working on it off and on since April. I don't want to know how many hours I've put in to it. But it is DONE!!!

Well, minus the lid, which is downstairs, and a clear coat of sealant.

I don't often dabble in "traditional" style, so I wanted to do my style - a lucky trip to WonderCon landed me the glorious inspiration of Peter Beagle's "The Last Unicorn". So, I made me a unicorn jar. :)

In Decemmber, I posted this Santa Claus repaint. It was a wooden Santa statue/board someone had given us. It was faded and really badly painted but I didn't want to toss it out, so I put a layer of primer and repainted it to what you see in that post.

Sometime after Christmas passed, as I was about to put the decorations away, I turned the board around and saw an amazing thing coming into view. I sketched it with a pencil and put it into the garage for a future paint.

Last week, I was going through my garage storage and rediscovered Santa. And the mystery sketch. And I decided it was time to paint again.

Only 2 weeks until our craft show. I stopped by the Goodwill store and found this shadowbox type picture with a country angel. I wanted something a little more reflective of the season.
raven

I removed the angel, covered it with scrapbook paper of bare trees, then printed Poe's The Raven on vellum and painted a raven on the glass. I added black feathers wrapped in eyelash fringe and hot glued it to the bottom. I like the way it turned out.

My husband and I are attending a masquerade ball the 2nd of October at a local winery and we needed masks. I couldn't find what I wanted online, so I spent two entire days working next to non-stop on our masks, I finally finished them.

My mask...

These are new skull pendants that I have been working on and I so love how they turned out. There are two different styles as first I did the side shot one then I decided to do a 3/4 skull pendant.

Each one is made out of paperclay and hand painted and sealed with a indoor/outdoor sealer.
