I've made quite a few sock monkeys, then suddenly people were asking for sock bunnies.  This is what happened!

I hope the image isnt too big, photobucket and I haven't been getting along...

Overall I'm please with how he came out.  He's made of a pair of themal kids socks, polyfill and loooooove hehe.

This is copied/pasted from my LJ so a little background: This is a room my husband Kyle and I have been working on for our almost 3-year-old daughter. It's going to be part of her Christmas present. She has no idea we've been doing this and I'm so excited for her to see it!! The bed is from Ikea; the bedding is from Target.

The original entry:

It's not finished yet. I still have some details on the mural to finish, and decorating details around the room have yet to be done but I'm going to jump the gun and post some photos anyways. The photos make the room look darker than it is (see? That color orange totally messes with the camera's rods and cones too!) so imagine all these about five shades brighter. I kind of want to add in a brightness sound effect here but I am not sure how to spell it.

Like I said, there's still a lot more to be done (still have to paint and decoupage the dresser, paint the curtain rod and sew the curtains) but I'm super happy with how it's turning out and wanted to share! Hopefully we can get it completely done in the next couple of weeks!

Hey friendlies!

So I have a crocheting problem!
I am in the process of making a circle scarf for a friend of mine. However, I've made it much too loose!
He plans on using it for skiing, so he wants it to fit fairly close. I was being silly and didn't measure properly, so now it hangs too loose around his neck.

Size wise, it looks like this:

It needs to be closer to this:

(But, you know...for a guy.)

So what I'd LIKE to do is to fold it inward at the seam, do a couple rows of single crochet up and down the folded part, and snip off the excess. Then perhaps stitch over it with a darning needle.

Is this going to work, or will it fall apart? Is there a better way to do this? Have I doomed myself?!

Thanks in advanced for any and all help! It's much appreciated!

ETA: Just so no one thinks I'm taking credit or anything, neither of these pictures are mine! Just found them on Google images to demonstrate the size. =)

Doesn't show a specific scene from the film but does reference something similar...probably counts as a really vague spoiler, just in case :-)

Folded from one continuous piece of paper, no adhesives.
