About 80 percent of my crafting is knitting, but in the last few months (and after reading Subversive Cross Stitch), I've been interested in cross-stitch! I started out doing simple words and other things like that, but recently have gotten into doing some pretty ridiculous samplers.

Tomorrow my son's Kindergarten class will be celebrating the birthday of Dr. Seuss. Any clever ideas for an easy Seussian craft or snack I can send?

Some while ago I posted two decoupaged chairs. Saddenly our  whole bedroom is adapting the same theme. This is the mirror I finished last weekend. One glass was missing so I put some wires on the back of the frame to hang the earings.

I made this a few weekends ago from a vintage pattern I bought on Etsy. In true vintage style it expected me to hand sew the entire thing, including the 8 YARDS of eyelet lace. Riiiight.

It took me about an afternoon to make it, and I'm very pleased that I took the time to make it machine-washable. There are a few minor things I'd change, but all in all I'm happy.

The reason I made it is because I host costume contests at several local gaming/anime conventions. I wanted something dressy/costumey, but not over-the-top. I thought a 50's Housewife was perfect.

Ps, sorry about the crappy picture. I couldn't wait any longer to post this. lol!

Hello crafty ladies!

(If this isn't allowed, feel free to delete)

For those of you with Etsy shops -- how much success have you had? Did you have to do any kind of promoting? Do you feel like it's worth it?

Thanks ^_^

Also, just because, here are some of my most recent crafts! (Not selling or anything)

Briang Regan inspired cross stitch ) (for the curious, the skit it's based on is here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=prLLabn1vPABrian Regan Inspired X-Stitch )

And, Embroidered Dweebosaurus )

I also painted a couple flower pots that I haven't had the chance to take pictures of yet. I'll post those later!
