Since the local renn faire started up a couple weeks ago, and the eyelets on my previous bodice were falling out from wear, I decided to put something new together to wear yesterday.

I need some help finding a product...

I'm applying for a student business grant to start a small business making safe/tough small dog supplies. For the dog/cat safety collar, I want to use magnetic clasps with a D-ring on either side for leash attachment.

I do not want to use any form of plastic safety buckle or slip buckle: first, I've had major problems with safety buckles (Namely, I lost a cat when a safety buckle failed and he strangled) and I've been using all-nickel hardware to prevent chewing/destruction hazards.

The type of clasp I'm looking for is sold at my local store with a brand called "Unique"- which I can't find online- and for 4.49$ each. Spending that much on a single part of the collar is a bit much, it'll put each safety collar with my pricing strategy at about 15$ a pop. I've looked at jewellery stores online and can't find any that have a large enough connection point.

Can anyone point me towards a good, sturdy magnetic clasp option that isn't a button-type clasp, and has a 3/4" connector part?

Calling all creative geniuses!!!

I'm getting bored with crocheting the same old thing all the time... potholders. They're my specialty. Well, at least it's what I like to make. I'm looking for new ideas. Maybe a blanket pattern,  some new funky appliques... I dunno.

What kinds of crocheted or fabric crafts do YOU like to buy?

Please help!

This was a commision for valentine's day. Finally getting pics up. 100% labradorite and sterling silver. Actually its not quite 100% because the sterling wire I used originally to string it didn't hold up in the mail and it fell apart in transit. This is the second time around and I used multiply silk thread. I couldn't go as thick as I would have liked due to having to use two strands but I think this time it will hold up.
