Jun. 24th, 2011 01:32 pmFor years and years I have been wanting to put together a decent recipe binder. I have recipes jotted down on all sorts of scrap paper, some of them are illegible. I have some printed neatly by hand on recipe cards in a box and I have some printed out on computer paper and stuffed in a drawer. Some of them are stained with oil or chocolate or a hundred other things you find in a cupboard or the ink has smeared. A lot of my newer recipes were saved on my computer so I was dragging my laptop into the kitchen and hoping I didn't spill molasses onto the keyboard.
Finally! Yesterday! I did it! I done made me a decent recipe binder! That is pretty!
See?

A crafty challenge!
Jun. 24th, 2011 03:44 pmGreetings, everyone! I've been a lurker for some time and have finally decided to join and make a post, in light of a challenge I received from my boyfriend today.
He knows I have an appreciation for crafting and like to recycle objects and turn them into, well, something they weren't before. All you crafters know what I mean! ;) Anyway, he likes to wear a lot of fitted hats, and gave me an old, tattered one today, wagering that I couldn't make something new out of it.
Naturally, I accepted his challenge; however, I am at a complete loss as to what to do with it! Does anyone out there have any ideas on how to give this drab, worn out fitted hat a new life?

Jun. 24th, 2011 06:52 pmWell! Now that I am finally done this project and I have finally slept I think it's about time to share it with you!
I have been cooking up something yummy!

These 5 wheels of cheese (and the other foods shown under the cut) are headed to a show in Baltimore, Maryland. The show opens with a reception on July 9th from 7-10pm at Current Space Gallery as part of as part of the Artscape festival!!!! I hope it's ok to promo the show. I am just so excited and I don't know a single person in that state. I've never even been to America!
* I also posted this entry to
crochetcrochet . I hope it doesn't bother too many people as it may show up in their friends page twice.
