Hi guys

I'm making a buttload of charms for the halloween party my company is running to give to the kids at the end. I've used plain white fimo and will be painting them orange and yellow to look like jack-o-lanterns. What would be the best way to seal them without smudging the acrylic (if possible). I don't have a lot of time (the party's on sunday) so no room for error as I won't have time to make more (there's 50 of the suckers!). Would some PVA glue watered down do the trick or would that not dry clear?

Also I'm thinking of making some charms with glow in the dark fimo, if I seal that will it mean they won't glow as they won't be able to absorb the light through the varnish (sorry if it's a stupid question my brain is filled with making zombies and coffins and charms for 50 children!!!).

Edit: Thanks for all your suggestions guys!!! I'm currently waiting for the charms to solidify in the oven and will make sure you all get to see the finished halloween goodie boxes...should I manage to finish them all :s.

A while back I made this cross stitched Serenity and since someone asked me to post the pattern, I thought I'd share it with you all!

Feel free to do whatever you want with this pattern, but credit or a link back to my journal would be very much appreciated. And I'd love to see the results if anyone does stitch it!

If you want to see more pics of my finished Serenity, you can do so here!

At my school, my kids all call me Velma because I guess I look like her :)

So I wanted to make a Velma costume for Halloween. The problem is, I haven't sewed anything since Home Ec. in 8th grade (ohhh... 10 years ago?) and I barely survived that. I do have a mini sewing that I need to break in , and I live 2 minutes away from a JoAnn's fabric. I'd buy a skirt, but I haven't had any luck finding one.

I was wondering if you all had any links to easy patterns or advice or really, any information that will help.

Thanks!
