Peppermint Bark
Dec. 7th, 2003 10:53 amIn addition to the chocolate spoons, this is another super easy project. Nothing to measure, ingredients are easy to find, and pretty cheap too.
Peppermint Bark
Ingredients:
White chocolate
Dark Chocolate
crushed peppermints
peppermint flavor oil, optional. (found it in the candy making section of AC Moore)
Directions:
Melt the dark chocolate. Add a couple drops of peppermint flavor oil. Pour a very thin layer into the bottom of a cookie sheet or baking pan. Let it set.
Melt white chocolate. Stir in the peppermints but less than you'd think you need. Pour into the baking pan over the dark chocolate. Make sure the dark chocolate is semi-firm or else it'll swirm together. You want this layer 2 or 3 times thicker than the dark chocolate.
Sprinkle more of the peppermints on top so it looks pretty.
After it's all cool, cut or break it into chunks. Then you can put it into cute tins or little cellophane bags to give away.
