gurrr. i just typed this and my cat decided to stand on my keyboard and delete it!
anyhoo,

i need help.. again *blushes*

im making a skirt from this nice fabric i found at the market, and i went to get my mums sewing machine this morning, and the metal 'stick' (no idea what its called) that holds the top reel of cotton, was gone. i looked for it but no luck. so i cant use the machine as i wont be able to get the right tension. So.. How can i hand sew it strong enough so that it doesnt fall apart? Because that would be really embaressing :o thanks
