old photograph glass plates

craftgrrli have some old photograph glass plates, that i would like to display. my thought was to create a box frame with a light behind the glass plate. however i am trying to find a good tutorial online to create this frame. anyone have any ideas. i still have to search archives of crafters, however did search google.
i am in no hurry on this frame since, i will be making it 110v for when i return to the states.
