glue?!

yarg, i've been trying to think of that glue that will affix anything to anything...or more importantly that will affix little glass thingies to my book. I think its something that begins with an E followed by a number? Like E9000 or something silly like that. Of course, i could be completely wrong because its 2:30am and at this point my brain is about as useful as a parka in jamaica.

help?

Not fabric that makes one sad, but, rather, how does one make strong, high-quality fabrics (velvet in particular) look worn and shabby as quickly as possible?

Any ideas? I have lots of great scraps of upholstery fabric: mohair velvet, cotton velvet and thick jacquards, and I want to rub off the pile from the velvet and bang it up a bit. I actually took a sharp rock to one piece and after vigorous scrubbing made NO progress in removing the pile! I can figure out how to make stuff dirty, but not how to wear it down.

Someone posted asking for photos of people's decorated wooden boxes. I'll take the opportunity to quit lurking and post!! I've been watching this community for more than a year now ( I comment a lot, but never post for real.) There are also photos of the fairy wings I made out of wire hangers and white nylons, and a project made out of Mardi Gras beads Lots of photos, BEWARE!! )

Yesterday after crocheting bookmarks for my Grandma and Uncle (that's another story altogether) I called my mom and asked "what do I make for Grandpa? He doesn't read!" She didn't know so I ended up making him a herd of origami horses (he's an old cowboy and loves horses) :D I don't think he knows quite what to do with them though.

So my hamster died. Again.
I've buried half a dozen of these little guys over the years, this time I put Bubbles in the freezer because I had the thought that the bones might make for interesting craft supplies.
So... anyone here know how to get from Bubbles to bones?

can someone who has a lj client delete all but one or two of the several journal entries that appeared earlier?? I would do it but my computer is being stupid. I dont think this is a bad thing to do as long as someone leaves the first and last one or something.
Thanks :)

Does anywhere know of any sites out there that sell eyelets/grommets cheap (1/8 and 1/4 size)? I need to buy an extremely large amount of them, so the cheaper the better. Thanks!

a few months ago my mother and i picked up a big box of records from someones garbage. i've already gone through and took all the worth while ones. now they are just sitting in the garage and i'm about to give them to the good will.

anyone know of something to do with them? maybe a decorative or artsy project...

my niece and newphew are
moving to the other side of the country
in about two weeks. and i wanted to make them
something that they can remember me by
until i see them again. they're 6 and 1 (in that
order). any suggestions? i wanted to make
them little shirts, but since i can't find
letters, i think that would suck. and this
saturday is the alst time i'll see them.

so any "kid friendly" suggestions that are
cheap, but won't look it, and easy, because
i'm a retard would be so greatly appreaciated.
