Help! I have two small tubes of superglue, and both have sealed themselves shut. Is there any way to get the caps off? If not, what can I do to prevent this in the future?

Hi There,

New here and I already posted these in my journal, but I think they might apply to the community.

hi, my name is manda. i'm new to the community.. i'm also pretty new to anything diy. :)
i'm thinking about making lip balm for xmas, and i wondered if any of you had any favorite websites with instructions or tips or anything. i'm also wanting to make handmade journals. so if you know anything about that, let me know. ok, back to the search... thanks!:)

I just bought several sheets of beeswax from GenWax. It was by far the cheapest I could find online with A) no minimum purchase amount, B) reasonable shipping rates, and C) all of the colours I wanted. Just a heads up for you candle-makers out there. My local craft store (Michaels) was charging $7.50 for two sheets. OY!

Update: Apparently, some of the stuff I ordered is on backorder. I know because they just CALLED ME TO TELL ME AND ASK IF I STILL WANTED EVERYTHING! Isn't that cool? What a great company.

i thought this was cute enough to share. i found this picture and though maybe someone who can knit would have way too much fun with the inspiration. the website is selling the kits but im sure the knitters here could figure it out.

Hello, I've lurked around in this community for a while now. I do the occasional craft, but nothing worth posting here about. You all are the most crafty people I know, you come up with the best ideas.

Recently I've seen a lot of buttons I want, but really don't have the money to waste on them. I know there has to be a way to make my own for far cheaper. (And of course, they'd be far cooler...) Does anyone do buttons? How can I get started, and what's the cheapest way? I've searched a bit, and all I can find is $100 machines that make them, and I don't really want to invest in this. I just want a couple here and there. I remember that a friend had a very cheap button making thing when I was young, and something like that would even work... Anyway, I hope someone out there has a suggestion. Thanks in advance! :)
