I tried again...this one came out much cleaner looking IMO...thinking of making them to sell
I like the crocheted flower more than the embroidered one

A bit more refined

Here's some of the examples of jewelry that I make. I use a wide range of supplies. I'm looking for local consignment shops since the one I was using turned into a paintball shop. I am hoping to sell these eventually. Need money to pay my grandmother back for helping buy my new computer's parts.

Critiques are very welcome!

(posting question only after looking in FAQ)

How do you get your homemade bath salts not to stick together?

I stir the recipe up in a big bowl; breaking up all the clumps, etc. Then I store them in an airtight mason jar. Yet, every time I go to use them they've fused together into a brick!

Thanks for your help!

It's been a while since I posted, but I have yet another question about selling crafts at craft fairs and the like. I'm thinking about signing up for a local fair in about a month where, says the coordinator, about 500 people come every year. Out of those 500, how many can I realistically expect to buy anything? I don't want to make too much stuff, but I don't want to run out halfway through the day either (and I can always sell a few extras on Ebay or online -- I just dont want to end up with wayyyy too much stuff lying around my house when I'm done). Everything I'm planning to sell (bandanas, headbands, and hair 'chopsticks') is going to be priced under $10, so I'm counting on the occasional impulse buy, but I still think I'd be lucky if I got 10% of the people who stopped by to actually buy anything. Is 10% a fair estimate or am I way off? Experienced craft-salers, enlighten me! :D

Also, today was a gorgeous day so I grabbed the scarf I'm working on and just sat out on my deck, knitting away. Man, I love spring. :)

I was browsing the internet and saw these, and thought they were great. They have a variety of uses and i thought some of you may be interested.

This would have to be the best use of rubber stamps that I have found to date. Tonight I was playing around with stamps and scraps of cardstock, paper, and fabric when I came up with this . . .

Revolution doll-style now! )
