Hello all,

The COAAF Radical Craft Fair and Bake Sale will happen
at the August 2nd Gallery Hop in the soon-to-be Short
North Ice Cream Shop space, located at 937 N. High St.
(Thanks to Kara V. for the hook-up.)

We need crafters and bakers of all sorts-- Crafters
can participate by: Donating an item or two for COAAF
to sell during the hop; or if you are a devout crafter
with many items to sell, set up a table and donate a %
of your sales to COAAF.

Crafters with an item or two, and all bakers can
deliver items to the shop anytime Saturday (call
570-6411 to make sure someone's there). Or, mail or
drop off items at my house (2419 Indianola, Columbus,
OH 43202) ahead of time. Or, email coaaf@hotmail.com
or reply directly to me to make some other sort of
arrangement.

Please share this information with anyone you can
think of who might want to sell or shop.

I was wondering, does anyone know if it's possible to decopage a helmet? Or really, any way of getting stuff to stick? My sister just got a new bike and I want to decorate a helmet for her. If anyone has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I just finished a little dress and panties for my friend's 5 month old baby. I used McCalls pattern #2213.

Check it out! )

This isn't in the memories section, and most of you will probably think it's pretty "duh," but what is something constructive I can do with regular old stickers? I have a lot of Finding Nemo stickers and Sanrio stickers and I don't want to put them somewhere that I'm going to regret, so where do you put yours?

The other day on Martha Stewart, I'm not sure the exact day, but Martha and another woman were sitting at a round table. The woman was discussing a book. I didn't get the title, but all I heard them talking about was the cameo was black. This sounded like a great book, but when I went to watch it later that night, our power was off, so I couldn't get it. Artist name and title is very helpful. Reply here or email me katebug48@livejournal.com Thanks.

I'm working on cushions for my dining room chairs -

the pattern I'm using (for dummies, my ass) wants me to sew 4 perfect 1/2 inch diameter circles in the cushion. damn near impossible, i think, i've already picked out 2 horrendous tries. i understand the principle of what i need to do, pivot around the center.

is there a sewing machine foot that can be purchased that will do this? it'd be so lovely if my machine had a tiny hole just where i need it so that i could stick a pin through.

any ideas?

so my boyfriend is moving in to my house in about 3 weeks. the problem is that he has hundreds of smallish zines that really aren't done justice in a regular bookshelf... i want to avoid shoeboxes, but any other ideas on how to have them out for perusal would be greatly appreciated... thank you! oh p.s. they are a mixture of like deck of cards shaped things, cd shaped things, small notebook shaped...

So I was poking around the site someone posted here ( <---that one) and on the links page there were some AMAZING sites. This one for example, shows you how to make tons of different dolls (I'm going to make the mermaid one, she's gorgeous) and, for some reason, underwear (which is cool, I like this pattern better than the one on getcrafty, which is what I've been using)...and I'm sure there're more cool links at the above site, but I kinda got distracted by the awesomeness of this one. Hopefully you guys will too!

So I looked in the memories for photo album decorating/creating and the closest things I found were topics about photos, but nothing about what Im looking for. So, anyways..

My boyfriend is in the military and overseas at the moment..hes sent me a bunch of pics while hes been over there and I have pics of us together pre-deployment. Im looking to make a photo album and decorate it myself just to make it a little more personal. Would it be best just to buy a folder binder and decorate the front/inside the way I want, and just put the slips inside? Im not sure how to go about this but I was thinking if I just decorated a binder it may not come out so great. I want to put little flowers on it that you can get at the craft stores and maybe some vintage post cards or something? Or maybe something that would relate to him and I on the front. I also had another idea to make a cloth photo album..like sew some material together and fill it with some thick fleece or something. But I dont know, Im not really sure how to go about it so I can make a nice album. Anyone here have any ideas or suggestions?
