Hi everyone. -waves- I'm new here. And I'm excited to finally to have a lj, cuz I've been watching these communities for quite some time. And I've been influenced alot. Well, I'll show my creations some time down the road. And I just made my curtains not too long ago for my room. I'm proud. I'll take pics soon. And then post them up here.

BTW I'm Megan, I'm 15, and from Vegas. Alright, Peace.

But I haven't a sewing machine. So, do any of you hand sew your bags at all? If so, what kind of stitch do you use to make sure that it's secure??

While I wandered aimlessly through the scrapbooking store, I saw that their punches were on sale. So, I was looking through them and on the display, the store had instructions on how to make a rose out of hearts. It looked really simple and pretty, so I bought the heart punch that I wanted to use anyway for something else, came home and tried it. Well, I can get each section okay, but I can't figure out how to put all the sections together. I also don't know how to put each section together without taping the whole darn thing. peh. Anyone have any suggestions?

Just for reference the rose had four layers. The first layer used four hearts in a circle, the next had three, then two then one heart rolled up for the center. I wish I could explain it better, but if I could explain it better, I could probably figure out the answer to my own question. Please help!

Anyone know of a use for about 20 white foam circles, approx 1" across? They're a nice thick foam, good for I don't know what.

I know that there are tons of ideas for gifts for boyfriends in the FAQ (my boy loved the guitar pick holder I made for him :D), so I'm sorry if this is redundant, I was just looking for a little different of a reason for the gift:

My boyfriend and I just spent a wonderful summer together after being about three hours apart while I was at school for the first half of our relationship. In about a month, though, I have to leave to go back and the three hour gap will be there once again. I really want to make him something that will in some way make the distance easier, whether it's something that reminds him of me, something that comforts him or just something that can make him feel like I'm closer. Any ideas? I was thinking about putting together a bunch of the pictures we took together this summer, but I didn't know how to do it without it being too girly. Any ideas other than that would be great too :).

Has anyone used Artisan's choice... Transfers Unlimited?

I wish I had pictures. It's this white stuff that looks like glue you put on magazine pictures, photocopied/ printed pictures and then after you cook it for awhile you peel off the back paper and it's strechy "plastic" like stuff.

It's really great. I was going to make a shirt tonight but I realized I needed something else for it.

You can put them on fabric, wood, lamps, it says anything, but we'll see.

I think with the one that I made tonight Im going to glue it on a bag and see if it holds up.

I want to see how they hold up on paper too. They might look great for altered books since they look a bit weathered.

oh yeah, by the same company they have this kit where you can make your own images for stamps. I'd try that one too, but it's not stoled at Michaels.
