So, with the joys of my John Cusack stencil shirt I decided to make another one. This is just some random girl:

Also, I want to make a shirt using this stencil ). Just wondering, would you guys know what it was without me having to write what it was?

hey.
well, i have a white bass, which has a white pick guard (i think thats what its called, haha, my mind just totally went blank). ANYWAYS, i'm going to paint the [insert correct word for it here] black, and then stencil it.

i've been told i could use acrylic paint, and that seems to work. however, any suggestions as to what finish i should use?

Ok, so Im in the process of doing my own stencil- I chose to use a manila file folder and an Xacto knife. I used clear packaging tape to stiffen up & preserve the stencil. Anything else i need to do/know before i start painting?
Can i just tape down the stencil onto the shirt or should i use some type of sticky spray adhesive?
Thanks so much! Ill be sure to post some pics ASAP ;D

What type of paint would you recommend painting leather with? Would I need to seal it after painting?

Oh, by the way, here is my idea, as I see that I few of you are searching for guy-presents: I want to buy a leather wallet and possibly stencil something cool on there. Would that be feasible?

i just bought my very own sewing machine!!!

i made my own halloween costume (with a lot of help from [livejournal.com profile] ricekrysbee and also using her machine) ad i had so much fun that i wanted my own machine. i went to walmart today and had a really helpful chashier lady who opened the box so we could check out the instructions (to see if it had a light, the box didn't say) even though she wasn't supposed to. its a really simple machine, a singer1525. i can't wait to start using it but for now i am late to go get margaritas with a friend.

(x-posted to [livejournal.com profile] beadfreaks, [livejournal.com profile] beadwork, [livejournal.com profile] craftgrrl.)

Michael's is having a beading contest! Entries due by 12/31/2003. I know you crafty girls want to win $1000 cash! (Note: you have to use beads/materials purchased at Michael's for this contest.)

i have this book, it's a regular size hard bound. and on the front it has these big letters A M but like horizontally.. i think. up than down. anyway. my friend's name is AM or anne mary and i wanted to make it into something for Christmas but i don't know what?!
I was thinking maybe into a journal, but how would i place pages inside? I would really rather not take them out. would it be possible to take like maybe 1/3 of the pages and glue paper on each side, leaving a little bit of the words to frame it?

..i hope that made sense.

i don't know what to do... i need ideas for a new purse pattern. i don't mind having to make the pattern up myself, but i need visual ideas in order to come up with a pattern. i have a green and a black faux velvet-like material (that has what you might consider crinkles; i don't know how to describe it) and a really cool printed cotton that goes with both of the other two. my main idea is that the velvet-like fabric will be the outside of the purse and the print will be the lining. i need to make these by saturday as i am going to be selling them then. any ideas would be appreciated.

read more and see the fabric... )

I have a presentation for my French class on Wednesday [I have only tomorrow to work on this then =/]
I want to make something for people who answers questions correctly about my presentation [to prove they were listening / get the class involved haha]...
Anyways. The project is on a French speaking country -- Switzerland for me. And I was thinking maybe I should make little swiss flags out of sculpey and make little keychains?
I'm making business cards right now because I'm pretending to be someone who works for an organization for exchange programs and the point of my presentation is to persuade people to join my program and sell this "amazing experience"...haha

So yes, back to the little prizes...what should I make? Something simple.
Anything would be great!
Thanks =D
