Gel Candle help
Oct. 12th, 2004 12:38 amToday was my lucky day. Not only did I get my photographer's job, but my boyfriend surprised me by tellin me to go to the crafts stores and just dump whatever I wanted in the buggy. Is he great or what? I decided to get started on Xmas presents so I bought loads and loads of soap crafting and gel candle making schtuff....Im talkin over $100 bucks worth. Anyhoot, Ive started on the candles. I got some art sand and some shells, along with a strawberry peach scent....smells really REALLY good. Well, now for the question..I had bought a sea scape candle just like the ones Im making now for almost $50...yes, I know...I coulda made me like 5 big ones for that price...this was all pre-crafty me. :o) Ok, so the fish bowl cracked (Its really thin glass) I heard you can re-melt gel over and over as much need be, but it has this really nice dark blue sand in it..and I was thinking if i melted it....it would be like blue snow instead of clear?!?!? Anyone know if Im right? And if I should bother with it or throw the candle I bought away?
