Crafters Coast to Coast- Arrgh
Nov. 25th, 2004 10:23 amI made a point today to watch HGTV's Crafters Coast to Coast and I'm thoroughly disappointed in their sound quality. Is it ALWAYS like this?
The artist's voices are lost within the background music. And when the artist stops talking the music blares. Did I just choose to watch the wrong episode?? In order to actually hear them talking, you have to crank the tv but are then blasted out of the room. Ugh...

Crocheted pizza?!?
Nov. 25th, 2004 11:30 amHey! I just wanted to know if anyone's ever seen a crocheted pizza before. My friend Mark is wild about pizza, and I thought it would be really cute if I made him a crocheted pizza for Christmas. Fairly useless, I guess, but no more so than the typical crocheted sushi (though I might try to come up with some kind of purpose...). If anyone's seen anything remotely like this and can maybe give me a link or something, I'd be a billion times grateful. I might end up making one out of felt or something instead... he's my chauffer who always takes me to get yarn, though, and I know he'd get a big kick out of it. Thanks!

I am planning on making lip gloss for my frineds for Christmas, but becasue I live in residence at school I don't have access to a stove (sounds pathetic, I know) ... or lots of money to invest in a double boiler. So my question is, does it make a difference if I use a microwave instead of a double boiler? This question also applies to M&P soaps, which I also plan on making (from a pre-made mix that I just plan to buy at Micheal's).

Nov. 25th, 2004 08:18 pmRecently I posted a sneak peek of some of the crafts I had done, which I was going to take better photos of. Well, the photo shoot happened yesterday (three of my friends modeled, and we took adorable pics in the park!), so here are a bunch of pictures!
My mom made these cute purses. She's (I hope!) going to make me a completely checkerboard one with some cute lining for my birthday.

( many, many crafts! )

Nov. 25th, 2004 10:08 pmFirst, a Question:
I saw these on ebay but they were too small.

If I painted these, is acrylic ok and would I have to spray it with a sealer?
