I *think* it was this community...sometime before the holidays, there was a post from someone that had painted this little desk with a ouija board pattern. It was awesome, and I wanted to show it to a friend to inspire her to paint some of the old furniture she's been collecting during her dumpster diving forays.
Anyone remember this post? I couldn't find it in the memories...

I didn't have time to knit sweaters for my nieces (ava, 3, grace 1) so I made polar fleece vests for them and trimmed them with knitted fun fur yarn.

Hi all, I am the caretaker for my mother who suffers from congestive heart failure, end stage renal failure, diabetes and she is a stroke survivor. I was wondering if anyone knew of a place I could get a hospital gown pattern, so that I can make some hospital gowns for her to wear at home. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I am going to stencil onto a totebag for school but I can't make up my mind what to put on it. I'm sort of leaning towards birds but I don't know where to find the types of birds that I want and I don't really know how to describe them.

They sort of look like old fashioned birds, like aged drawings - faded colors.. you guys KNOW what I am talking about :o) Maybe someone can help?

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I was thrilled to find this Wonderful Website with instructions for making all kinds of pop-up cards. Just pick a design and click!

*Pom pom rings*

I found out how to make pom pom beaded rings. After several mistakes, I came out with these results. First I made a lil' pin cushion. Then I sew all the glass beads and added an elastic beaded ring on the back (to fit all finger measures). I'm trying to make some variations on this theme. Any suggestions?

A friend of ours took care of all our pets while we were gone for the holidays. Naturally we wanted to give him a present. My boyfriend found a blender and asked me to paint 'meat and meat related things' on it along with funny settings for the different speeds.
Here's a little preview

Hello, I was wondering how I would go about making a parasol. You know, for those nice sunny days. What kind of materials would I need? How about what kind of fabric for the top?

-_-;; i can't find it for the life of me, but i am looking for a fairly recent post about these red fuzzy monster slippers someone sewed up. ;_;

thanks in advance to whoever finds it. :)

does anyone know how i can go about dying the shiny side of a cd? i want to dye it so it's different colors but it's still shiny. kind of like how some are blue and some are just plain silver, except i want to do green and pink and purple etc. the only thing i could think of was food coloring but i wasnt sure it would work so i just wanted to double check to see if anyone has done this before.

I'm making a t-shirt for my boy for his birthday and Ive been spending my time cutting out the quote, and I am going to be using a clorox bleach pen and I was trying to find in the memories someone's post of a shirt they made with the bleach pen. I was just trying to make sure I was going to go about it the right way, and how long to leave it on, how to go about washing it off, any help would be fantastic!! <3

Here's a necklace I made today. I posted it in my journal and some 47 seconds later [livejournal.com profile] sigmaration demanded ownership. It was nice while it was MINE.

It's 9 faceted Tourmaline briolettes on SS chain.

Thanks you :)

Question.

I'm currently using sculpy to create a giant pendant (perhaps you remember my cosplay post, perhaps not), and it says to bake at whatever degress for each 1/4" thick.

...Well. The thickness kinda varies through out this thing.

Also... If I am connecting pieces together, are they just going to fall apart when I bake the whole thing like clay would? And if that's the case, hot glue should hold them together, ne??

i don't know if anyone will have the answer for this, but i'm wondering if any of you, especially those of you using photographs for you websites, have any tricks that you use when shooting something shiney. my sister makes beaded necklaces with delica beads, which, if anyone's used them, are great for catching the light at a party, but suck when their picture is taken. i use a digital camera and have tried messing around with different lighting, different backgrounds... ugh. how do you shoot a picture of something shiney without the picture coming out all blurry?
thanks, if any of you can help.
