i made some new bags. they´re all made from vintage fabrics. i just love these old patterns.
the beltbag is made from a 50´s apron i got at a flea market last summer.

i'll look later (google: lunchbag patterns?), but for right now i'm out the door.

has anyone any easy ideas on how to make a homemade cute lunchbag, like this?

anyone who answers nicely, i will be forever grateful!

how much fabric do you think i'd need? half a yard? i've never sewn anything before. i was just curious, i thought it was super cute, but not for twenty-five smackers.

:)

Is anyone familiar with any good websites that offer free font downloads?

Dangling earrings (that can reach your shoulders almost) cost $6-7 at the stores. How much would it be if I made my own after buying supplies??

I took apart a hematite necklace I found at a thrift store a while back and then took apart another hematite necklace that a former friend(now a very ex-friend) made, added some extra packets of beads and created two new necklaces(three if you count the other hematite necklace I reconstructed with some of these extra beads.

My mother loved her necklace as well as several of my aunts so now Mom wants me to make 6 hematite beaded necklaces. I have always been a bead scrounger--just going to thrift stores and yard sales and deconstructing old glass beaded necklaces--and I know nothing about ordering beads online.

But since my Mom is paying for the supplies, I was wondering if anyone had a favorite bead or wholesale bead website that they would recommend? I am mainly looking for hematite at this time.

i saw a while ago that michael's will take competitor's coupons, like joann's coupons. i assumed, since the only coupons i ever get from joann's are the 40% off ones, that michael's would take one. but i just called my local store and they said they don't take them but they DO price match (if joann's has an item on sale for less they will price match their competitor).

has anyone tried the 40% off coupons from joann's at michael's?
thanks!

The colors are way off because I shot them in terrible overhead lighting. Poo. Still, you get a general idea. I think I'll do more with a shell edging on the brim for the more girly-girl type.

Hello dollies,

this is my de-lurk post. I am very much in need of help and inspration, and after having read your posts for almost a year, I trust you to help little lost crafty Goth /me out ;) .

So my favorite hat shop has a sale at the moment, and I got a hat for only 10 EUR the other day *bounces*. I adore its shape...however, the thingy has the most hideous white comic print on the black felt.

Proof #1
Proof #2

I guess you all will understand that something needs to be done to it. I really want to preserve the shape, but cover up those nasty white prints.

hello everyone!
I need help to find a website which a member talk about 2 or 3 months ago, because I lost my list of favorites in a "computer crash"!

the site has a feature with which you can create a big poster with a little image. you can choose the number of pages you will print to made your poster. the result is downloadable as a *.pdf file.

the entry of the member featured a photo of what she made with the site : a poster of a drawn military girl.

I tried a search in craftgrrl with the term "*pdf*" but i did not find...

Is there someone to help?
thanks.
