I was hoping that you all could help me come up with some creative and original ideas for a themed scrapbook (ie the whole album would be able the same theme/topic).

Any thoughts?

EDIT: For themes I was thinking along the lines of a travel scrapbook, a "my family" scrapbook, etc. I was just hoping to come up with a more creative idea/theme. I take pictures of practically every event/trip, so I have a lot of pictures to choose from. Right now I just do cronological scrapbooks of everything.

Since I sew all the time I am left with a lot of leftover fabric scraps. I try to use everything up so I am not just creating a lot of waste. Large scraps go into new patchwork, tiny scraps I use for patches or appliques. I also use little bits of fabric that would be to small for anything & cut them up, combining them with all of the thread scraps, and then I use this to stuff the patchwork bears I make.

One thing I can't figure out how to use is long strips that I keep that I cut to be about a little less than 1/2" wide. I started saving these with the idea of crocheting them together for bags. I started a bag & then ran out of strips for a while, but I'm not sure how much I am liking it. I was using all of the colors I had, but I think it would look better using similar colors or running yarn along with the fabric strips....

EDIT~ The strips are very thin... not much wider than a piece of yarn.

I just made my first felted flowers, made by hand with wool roving and felting needles. They came out all chubby and a lot nicer looking than I expected. I'll turn these babies into jacket pins, corsages, hair clips and whatnot.

Alright, for my aunt's wedding I have been recruited to be the photographer. I am planning on putting together a scrapbook for her to give her when I am done with developing all of the photos and what not. I am curious to see if anyone in this wonderful community, has any ideas on what I can maybe put in this scrapbook, or if you have any advice that would be wonderful also. I hope this isn't against any rules, thanks for your help.

this first creation spun from a skirt I got at a garage sale.I wanted to do something
with PVC coffins and so I cut up some old PVC fabric and safety pinned them on to the skirt.
I'm going to safety pin on a coffin patch I got later, around the center

I know most of them aren't *too* EGL (and I know they sure as hell aren't pure EGL items),but I still wanted to get some feedback on the design level. Most have some kind of gothic,JROCK,japanese streetwear,or lolita influence. Thanks for taking a look =D

Hi, I'm new here and I need some advice.

I just fell into two XL mens button-down shirts with really cool fabric. I'd like to turn them into little girly tops, but I don't have any ideas.

Anyone have any resources?

So, some of this is from the period of time when we'd just moved here, and didn't have the Internet yet, nor I didn't have a working sewing machine, so I entertained myself with hand-sewing clothing reconstructions, and the other things are from my recent t-shirt resizing adventures. The skirt and dress are a couple of months old, and the shirts are fairly recent.

I'm sure all of you have experienced the craze of the LiveSTRONG arm bracelets by now.

I am interested in making some of my own. You can buy custom ones online, but in minimum quantities of 500-1000 bands each, with expensive prices.

Does anyone have any ideas of what materials to use, how to make the mold, etc?
Thanks!

I'm not sure if this is exactly the place to ask, and if there is a better place, feel free to direct me in that direction.

Well, I'm looking for a pretty good quality, not spiral bound sketchbook for relatively cheap. If anyone knows of any good places either online or not where I can find one, I'd REALLY appreciate it.

Thank you in advance!

Howdy,

I know this doesn't really fit but I was hoping somebody would help me come up with crafty Senior pranks. More like smart silly ones that won't damage the school...much :). But all of you loverly ladies are oh so creative I was wondering if you could help enlighten me with some ideas, or atleast tell of some you've heard of or done yourself.

Thanks bunches.

<3 ya,
Autumn
