Hullo everyone! Two things! And no pictures. I am sorry.

1. Help! I am half-way there with my boyfriend's birthday present, but need a little shove. He loves zombie films and I found a 'Bag O' Zombies' in a comic book shop; little zombie figures for use in a board game, but awesome on their own too.

like this.

I want to stick them onto something to make a present, but I can't think what. I thought an alarm clock maybe, or a box, but I'm drawing a bit of a blank. Help!

2. I keep seeing awesome tattoos in people's icons in comments on craftgrrl, and seeing as this is a creative community, it stands to reason that the quality and number of tattoos is probably above normal. So post pictures in the comments! I have a tattoo of a craft knife (Exacto knife), but I'll only post it if other people post theirs. I wouldn't like to show off, like.

that is all
Kathleen

ps, Google image searching for 'zombie' is right scary.

would anyone be interested in buying a purse like this:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

i made a few in aqua, and a few in silver, posted them on ebay, but it was a no go. i had a load of watchers, but no one bid. i actually kept one of these purses for myself, because they're so cute and flashy, and i love going out with it, cause i get a lot of compliments.

they're pretty durable purses. i have the metallic fabric lined with iron-on interfacing, and then there's an extra lining on the inside (just made of regular lining material). i also have thicker, gold o-rings for the new purses that i'm going to be making and i'm going to be on the look-out for leather straps.

Hello! I've noticed there've been a lot of kanzashi posted, and a strong interest in Japanese crafts (from textile work, like in Omiyage to bookbinding, calligraphy, origami, and modern/contemporary crafts, like soft dolls, food, and toys) in this community, so I wanted to let you know about a community that focuses on them exclusively: [livejournal.com profile] tezukuri. Please join, read the guidelines, & post! Hurrah!

I've looked through memories, and Ive look back through old entries, but I cant find a pillow someone posted a while ago. It was white and had (blue I believe) an eiffel tower on it. Who made that?

Thanks <3

just a quick q, if you were considering crafting a messenger bag to hold a laptop, i know you'd probably use some sort of thick material and probably use something to reinforce the bag between the lining and the outer fabric...

i was thinking of something soft, like felt for the lining and possibly cardboard (?) for the reinforcement and i wasn't sure what i could use for the outside fabric...i know you could use leather, but i think that would be expensive...is that wrong? maybe something quilted...

i think the material for the bag isn't so important as the strap...probably. what could i use for that?

i'll for sure post pictures if i make one.

And PS...if any of you are dating, here's a new holiday to celebrate, HA!

http://www.steakandbjday.com/

what's funny about this, is my boyfriend and i's anniversary (two years!) is on the 13th. so i'll definitely have to hit up the meat department. sorry if this offends anyone, but i think it's funny and silly.

Can anyone tell me WHAT IN THE HECK these are? That was the fastest I have ever had a question answered in my life. XD Thanks guys!

Does anyone have any Easter crafts other than egg dyeing?
[identity profile] ithink-toomuch.livejournal.com
i decided to embroider something on a sweatshirt, but it's taking forever because i don't have an embroidery hoop...and jersey and sweatshirt material doesn't really like to be embroidered.

any random ideas on what i could use/do until i get a hoop? i guess this question is geared toward those of you who are, like me, too lazy/forgetful to pick up one of those hoops. still trying to figure out a little makeshift crafty solution to make this go easier and faster by keeping the fabric taut.

don't worry, i checked the memories!

So... I had a bunch of free fabric swatches from Javis Davis that were begging to be made into something.  Jada needed a new diaper bag so voila!

Details, details I need details! )

Is there a way to create your own cross-stitch pattern using Photoshop or something of the like?
[identity profile] candibee.livejournal.com
I'm not sure if [livejournal.com profile] i_go_mrow has posted this previously, but here's a site that has vintage game images mapped out (I was inspired by her metroid cross stitching project and searched around)

http://www.smashboards.com/fzero/emblems2.php

I'm assuming those would work for cross-stitching. They look more like how to draw pixel by pixel the different characters, but I'm thinking they might work if you get the right colors.

I think I just found my project for tomorrow night with the husband is out of town over night.

i have looked through craftgirrl's FAQ/memories section and cannot find any information on this. freezer paper. someone told me i can use it to transfer pictures onto fabric with it. but is that what i can do with it? what kinds of crafts can i use this freezer paper for?

also, where can i find it? i looked down the supermarket isles and nothing i find says freezer paper, but i did find freezer bags! i looked through michaels and asked the people there and they told me they don't know. sigh.
