Hi. Hopefully this post is appropriate.

I have a bunch of iron-on transfers and plain t-shirts. I want to make some with cool sayings or stuff like that... I'm not sure exactly what, though. I was wondering if there are any websites online with graphics that are intended to be put on t-shirts via iron-on transfers.

So far, I'm just checking out clothing websites for any slogans I thought would be cute. But I think it'd be nice if I could find graphics of some of the shirts I see online... One example is the "Getting Lucky in Kentucky" shirt (even though I already own one of those).

Anyone know any websites with iron-on graphics? I don't even know if there are any out there, but I was just curious, and I thought y'all might know. Thanks! :)

Help! I really, really need to get my screen made and print up these shirts, but... it appears that someone decided to throw out my Mod Podge! O_O
Is there something else I can use that I might have on hand that dries quickly? Nail polish, screen print ink, acrylic paint, maybe some Elmer's? Aleene's Ok To Wash It fabric glue? (Dunno if the 4oz bottle I have will do all of the area I need to... though I guess I could fill in large areas with tape...) Worse comes to worst I can get some more Mod Podge while on break at work tonight, but I really wanted to have my screens done today by the time I go to work. ;_;

i'm looking for ideas of ways to use my rubber stamps in conjunction with polymer clay - either to create textures or charms or beads or whatever. i mean, obviously i can use the stamp and just stamp the clay to get a texture, but... what else can i do? i confess, i'm not very imaginative with the clay, but i'm willing to try stuff if you have ideas!

thanks!

[livejournal.com profile] bertha79 posted she got the cross stitch I sent her! I also sent her a fridge magnet I had bought at Gnomefest. It was so hard to pick which one of the magnets I should give to her bc they are all so cute. Duh, I should have given her the one with the kitty on it; too bad I am just thinking of it now.

Anyway, I never seem to scan these little designs I stitch from the Celtic Tarot, so it's nice to finally have a picture of one. They are quick and easy to do. I usually pick my own colors too [for instance, I hate the bright yellow border and orange lettering indicated by the pattern].

It looks like I missed stitching one whole block from the Wishing Well. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?!?! How does one not SEE that is missing?!?!? OMG what the heeeeellllll????

Well it was fun to swap anyway, and I really liked what I got from her.

I've spent my morning making bags, here are the fruits of my labour.
I've made three bags all using a new fabric that i bought the other day. I used a black and white check and then altered and changed my designs by using other base colours and stitches.
anyway, here is the first bag:

If you want to be included in the directory add me to your friends list so that I can view your craftyness and I'll in turn add you back, and to the directory.

Can you remove puff paint? Specifically white puff paint from denim? I just didn't like the way it came out (I was writing lyrics on a bag) because I had to use my right hand to keep from smearing it, and I am not right-handed, so it's kind of... shaky, and crooked. I think I should stencil instead. I did a search for removing puff paint, and nada. Which has me slightly concerned....

Thanks to everyone for participating then the selling comments poll! (If you missed voting on the poll, don't worry ~ the results stayed about the same throughout the voting so I think we got a pretty good representation)

About 55-60% of the community agreed on the new rule ~ "Comments mentioning selling should be deleted only when it is an obvious selling post, and community members have said so. Then the whole post should be deleted."

What does this mean? )

Can I ask if something is for sale? )

Hopefully this will be the last of it popping up on your friends page!

Does anyone know how to make flowers out of the cigarette wrapper foil? My friend's mum was taught how to make them ages ago when she was waiting for a plane one day, but she never remembered the part about the stem.

Can anyone help?

Well after seeing how cool they were, I decided to attempt making toothbrush bracelets from the bunches of dentist toothbrushes and orthodontist toothbrushes at my house. So I put the water in two pots (one fairly big and one just big enough for a toothbrush) and then boiled the water to a rolling boil, and put the toothbrushes in. No matter how many I boiled in one pot (anywhere from 1-4) or how long I boiled them (anywhere from 5-30 minutes) they just would not end up bending enough to stay on my wrist. Has anyone ever come across this or knows the solution? Or should I just use a different type of toothbrush, like CVS ones or something?

Hello, everyone. I'm new.

Randomly, I decided to start making jewelry. So far, just earrings because that is all I ever wear. This is my first try at making a pair. Conceptually, they were supposed to be these tiny, fabulously jeweled birds' nests. And in reality, this is what I ended up with:

Do you like? Would you wear them?

The little carved bird and white heart are made of sea glass, the beads are wooden and chocolate-colored crystals. I topped it off with a fresh water pearl. The hoops are only one inch in diameter.

hi, i'm just learning how to knit, and i came across this really cute sweater. http://www.anthropologie.com/jump.jsp?itemID=6765&itemType=PRODUCT&iSubCat=77&iMainCat=55 i want to make something like that...but it doesn't have to have all of that crochet stuff going on. just plain knitting would be cool for me. does anyone know of a pattern sorta like that? i really like how the neck wraps around, so i would want a pattern with that in it too. and be easy on me, since i'm just a beginner! thanks so much for your help!
