Just a question,
I'm interested in making pendants out of metal and plastic. Do you know what equipment I would use at home and where I could get it (I live in Australia but I often buy equipment overseas).

Thanks luvs.

Did you ever get tired of spending money on wax tarts? Did you ever want to know how to make them with a good strong throw? I made my own tarts last night and they are better than yankee and better than a lot of the etailer tarts I have ever tried. Here are two journal entries kind of jumbled together with my notes and put together so if you read through the disjointed entries you will be able to make wonderful wax tarts that have super throw.

Now go forth and make wax tarts so you never need to buy them again. )

Hi!

I want to go out as Rainbow Brite this year for Halloween, but need ideas of how to go about making a big blonde wig. Was thinking of making a wool wig, but don't know how to go about doing it. Any tips on how to do this (and actually have the big head of hair stay on my head)?

here, i made this purse like two months ago and forgot to show it off.

my boyfriend gave me the sack for christmas with a gift inside and i've had it sitting around since then. i added the grommets, scrounged up some old keyrings, and attached the strap from my camera case. it has some punctures in it--there was a pin/button floating around in there that came un-pinned and stabbed some holes. that's OK, though!

Here are some pics of my most recent jewelry creations. The earrings and necklace pendants are silver with swarovski crystals, and there is also a pic of some clay beads I made for the marcame stuff I do sometimes too. Yeah yeah yeah dirty hippy blah blah blah. ;)

I've never posted an entry in here because I haven't been particulary
crafty. All my summer projects were botched, so here is just something
I did before school kicked back in.

Alright, so I bought my screenprinting kit like a month ago, but have yet to do anything because I still don't have all the stuff. Hence the question. Is the type of lamp I'll need to expose my screens available at like..Super Walmart? Because that's pretty much the only store in my town, so if I can't get what I need there and I want to screen anything before mid-October, I need to tell my parents to buy it for me and bring it when they come to see me tomorrow...

So any advice as to where to find said lamp, or a link to an example that I could give my parents, would be greatly, greatly appreciated!!

And just so this isn't text only, some more notebook collages. )

I've made a couple super cute tote bags in the past week, I'll post pictures soon.

Here is the most recent blanket I made. It was for the kids cousin’s first birthday. Her family is really into horses so I made this horse head and tried to use My Little Pony Type colors. I see some mistakes but I had to get it done fast so in those respects I think it turned out ok.

so, school just recently started which means less time for crafting,
but in my (scarce) down time, i've been making some earrings.
my school had a craft fair last year, and i think they're doing it again
this year, and if they are i want to sell my jewelry there.
i made these earrings )
with the intention of selling them.
would anyone here even consider buying something like this?

Hi there! I'm new here, but I have a question for all you creative minds. My son wants to be Master Shake (the giant milkshake from the Aqua Team Hunger Force cartoon) for trick or treat this year. Does anybody have any ideas about how I could go about creating this costume???

Any and all input will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hello my crafty comrades!

School has killed my craftyness, but I did finish a few completely random projects, mainly birthday presents.

Oh a Peanut Sat on a Railroad Track... )

Thank you muchly to everyone who helped me with my leaves. I really liked the glue. It did exactly what I wanted. ^_^ Thank ya muchly.

Also, I found something to amuse me over Labor Day. I went out to the railroad tracks and smushed pennies. O_o It was fun. ^_^ Only now I have several smushed pennies, with nothing really to do with them. What would you all do?

Have a wonderful fall, my friends! I shall return...

I wanted to make a stuffed animal for a friend. Something other than bear. Maybe a moose, dinosaur, dragon, or cow. But I can't find any patterns online anywhere. Can someone help me find one, or tell me where I could possibly purchase them?

Thanks!!

Sorry if this is innapropriate

Ok,
I just got a bunch of fabric swatches from mendels far out fabrics, i love their pvc!
but its rather expensive :(
14 bucks a yard, well, say i need about 3 yards for a decent skirt (i dont like tight skirts) thats 42 bucks and that doesnt include shipping costs, plus i would still have to sew it. eh, i might as well buy it a ready made skirt then right?

Im looking for a cheap place to buy pvc fabric from (not the thick table cover kind but to make clothes of) that ships internationally!
i know of distinctivefabrics.com but they say they dont ship internationally because of customs and taxes (ive never had a problem with customs EVER or had to pay tax. and ive ordered alot!)

I dont know, i was wondering if anyone here knew where to buy some?

x-posted (sorry, im desperate :/)

Things that I made in the last little while:

Acorn Bracelet - A little itchy. I still have to sand and re varnish them so they're shinier and softer.

More earrings and a necklace, and a little bead grabby put together for a fall craftshow )
