hello my fellow crafters!

I have been on a hunt for "hair canvas" to use as a form of interfacing in some of the bags that I am making and have been unsuccessful at finding any local stores or online shops that sell it. I thought of you all you right away, and thought some of you could possibly help me find a place that sells "hair canvas." OR do you have any suggestions for what can be used in place of hair canvas... seeing that is it rather expensive & i realize people can be allergic to it.

Thanks for any help you may give me!

Hello guys and gals, ... I just wanna say that I found your community while looking for screen printing instructions ... a post from your community was on the first page of the google search (near the top!). That is excellant! There is so much great info and inspiring pics and ideas ... I'm sure you're all happy to know that you are searchable and findable outside Live Journal :)

Does anyone know of a place in Chicago that has a good selection of sequins? I usually go to International Bead and Button, but they don't have enough different colors.

I'm making a vodoun flag for my anthropology class.

I bought a pair of cheapo maryjanes to paint.  I freehanded a few kitty pirate skull & crossbones on them.  I might do the entire shoe later, however it took well over 2 hours to do these and about 5 coats to get good coverage.  I used acrylic paint mixed with textile medium because the maryjanes are made of a stiff fabric-like material.  They're a little on the sloppy side but what the heck, it adds character. LOL! I hope you like them!

Here's a pocketshrine I've been working on most of the summer. Now that school's started, I probably won't get much further on it, even though it's not complete.
