lenora

lenora was once in love. she was in the sort of love that makes mouths open and hands clutch and all varieties of odd words and phrases fall between the two. she was so in love that when he said he was going away, she only said "oh." and when he said that she must never cut her hair until he returns, she said "but of course." so that is how it went, and her hair keeps growing and growing. and while she isn't terribly sure that she loves him anymore, you can still find her face pressed to the windows every single time that sound just might be footsteps at the door.

it had been ages since i had a change to just sit down and work on a doll that was for no one in particular. so all and all i am quite pleased with ms. lenora.

same ingrediants as usual: sculpey, wire, acrylic paint, hair, and for spice - a vintage hankie.

hello my fellow craftgrrls, i need a little bit of advice regarding an etsy sale..

(everything's all good now) )

Thanks so much for the help & advice, everyone! I'm actually really excited about this now because I finally got an e-mail response that wasn't under 10 words, and they are excited to carry my book in the gallery. :)

I think that I'm going to dress up as Jessica Rabbit for Halloween. Any ideas on making the costume semi-modest so that I can wear it to work?

I've been making purses pretty well all summer, and have continued during the academic season ... unfortunately, I don't have pics of the many many purses that I made during the summer (because I sold them before taking pics) ... but here are some pics of the purses I've been making recently.

Ladies I have asked a lot of questions and made a lot of comment, but my mommy is my savior and sent me my camera USB.  I have pictures.

This is Roscoe, my cutest ever dwarf hamster and if you follow her tracks, she'll lead you to my goodies. :)

and I'm knitting a scarf.
But I started with 50 stitches
and now its up to 66
and I've done about 8 or 9 rows,
so its basically adding on 2 stitches a row

Does anyone know why/how i'm doing this? Because I have no idea whats going on, and soon this scarf is going to end up like a giant triangle shaped thing..like a cape! Which would be super-fun, but not exactly practical.

And just so this isn't text only, heres some shoes that used to be plain pink until i got sick of them. my shoe-shoe-shoes! )
